Hey there @zenman4711 by looking at the stamp on another thread, i’m pretty sure its a 2015 model. Hope it helps 😊⛳🏌🏻‍♂️

I don't believe the Chrome Soft X was out until 2017. I remember hitting prototype versions of it on our callaway trip in late 2016

The early Chrome Softs used "sideways V" looking arrows. The more recent ones have started using the sideways triangles that are more filled in

It would have to be a 2018 or 2019 as stated above

I have boxes of the 2020 and they don't have that little diamond in the middle

Callaway Mavrik Max 9 w/Hzrdus Smoke Black 80
Ping G410 LST 13 w/Ping Tour 75
Ping G400 Crossover 20 w/KBS Tour Prototype 85
Ping G410 4-SW w/S300
Titleist Vokey SM8 60 M grind

SGC #002 flow neck 385g

Thanks for all the answers. After doing a little more sleuthing online and on this site, it turns out the "diamond" marking is a tour only ball. Whether it was actually released to the public as a 2019/2020 version I don't know. It makes sense they feel different because of the graphene, which is what made the Nike balls feel and sound so diferent. I'm pretty sure Callaway bought some ball patents from Nike when they shut down...

No worries! And you're right a lot of the time it's very hard to tell the difference year to year anyway 🙂

ironically, the Chrome Soft (non X) is one of the FEW balls where i really did notice a difference. The earliest versions of it i found almost unplayable because i couldn't elevate chips with it. My short game was just terrible. The later versions i found were much better in the short game. Anything that has the "V" and not the "triangle" i really struggle with.

The X for me has always been pretty consistent. But i like the feel of the regular one better
