Srixon Z Forged 2021

Spoke with my rep and he said there is no upcoming change or new model to the Z Forged

I thought when they came out they said this would be the only one for a while (years). Probably why they changed the name to Z-Forged rather than use the 9 series designation like they used to.

They should release Hideki’s blades as is. 

 

Heck Reed even has his own limited box set, maybe Fowler soon as well.

The Zforged blade isn’t even available to purchase. I understand the zx5 and zx7 have been released overseas, but cmon, how does Srixon not have an active bladed club in the lineup AND have no plans to release one?

I guess we have to wait until January 2021; it looks like Srixon updates clubs every 2 years which is pretty long compared to other makers.

I would be surprised if there is no update for this model.

Srixon said at the time that they weren't planning to release a new blade every release cycle. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Z Forged stay for a few more years.

I tried to purchase from Srixon a few weeks ago and was told they don’t have any more Z Forged. They suggested I call Club Champion and see if they hand any in hand.

I've had the 765's a while back... Have the 965's and have those have been the gamers for the last 2 years. I was going to switch to the Z-Forged last season but did not like them nearly as much as my 965's. Was really hoping Srixon would be coming out with a new blade this upcoming release but it doesnt look like thats going to happen according to the posts here and from what I've read. 

 

That being said, I have had the DG S-300 stock shafts in my 965's since I purchased them and since wr won't be getting a new blade this year... I was looking into new shaft options for the 965's. I have tested plenty of different iron shafts (KBS $ taper, KBS C taper lite, Project LZ, even Graphite Recoil shafts)but all in different irons bc nobody has the 965 interchangeable head around me. Anyone play the 965's with a diffferent stuff shaft besides the DG S-300? Any input would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing possibly good news about maybe new blades coming.

That would be awesome, Hideki has some great looking irons.

Callaway is doing a three plus year cycle on their blades so it wouldn't surprise me if they pushed it to late next year.

The z forged are good blade. I am not sure there is a need to change. I would prefer they had a blade with the more agressive V sole of the X7s but that is really the only change I would make.

I've played a lot of golf the past few years. Played a ton of models and great irons including but not limited to: P790 first and 2nd gen, Cobra MB / CBs, Ping basically every mid cap to tour model, all of the Mizuno models, etc. etc. And I can't get these Srixons out of the bag. I can't . They are too good.

This...I picked up some 745s two seasons ago and tried to bump them -- i210, Mizuno 919 models, P790, Titleist and settled on Cobra Forged Tec 2020 for a bit. Went back to the z745 and couldn't be happier.  Now going to try to dial it in with a combo  Z945 and test out a Z785/Zfoged combo.  Looking forward to it.

To me it would be pretty tough to beat the z-forged. I understand why they’re in no rush for a new model.

Making it aesthetically more like the 945 but retaining the Z Forged forgiveness and playability would be a huge hit

Not intending to troll anybody (including, but not being limited to, @hypergolf and/or Srixon, which I own two set of blades of) but, if I may, I would lean towards a nice set of Mizzy MP-20s if your are going through a blade crave (finding out a mint set of 670/680, much less so 681s, would be a much difficult endeavor...).

We appreciate your input. However, a blade / MB is just that and nothing more. You're judging merely on feel, looks, and specs when all is said and done. MP20 and 921 Tours from Mizuno were cool but not worthy of getting my Srixon Z-Forged out of the bag. 

Srixon doesn't plan to put out any blades this year. There is nothing to improve upon in my mind other than styling (and that crappy font they use for numbers).
