Scotty Cameron Golo 7 -- missing paint fill on G

So this is odd.....anyone seen a Golo with the yellow paint missing on just the letter G?

I'd say it's more to do with perhaps having something on the aluminum plate in production that didn't allow the paint to adhere fully, like some grease or something similar that allowed the entire chunk of paint to come out in tact. It wasn't uncommon for putters of this era to have a paint "bomb" fall out entirely.

ok thanks.  I should have clarified that this is new and still has the plastic on the handle and hasn't been on course -- just living room.

Had one with a similar paint issue.  it's common I think.

Scotty paint tends to come out very easily.  I remove all of the paint from my putters to do custom work and SC putters are by far the easiest to remove the paint.  Lots of times just pops out with a toothpick.

Ok thanks.  I sold it and let the buyer know.  He is going to do exactly that anyways.....remove all paint.

Picking up on this topic I have a favorite GoLo 5S in perfect condition well looked after but all of the yellow (or is it yellow?) paint has disappeared from the GoLo logo on the sole plate. Has anyone repainted this? I have read of people using Testers or Nail paint and wonder if anyone knows the code for the "yellow"  or other paint colours Scotty use on the 2014 GoLo. Thanks for any help.

Testors and Tamiya paints I've used for years. From my findings , Testors is easily attainable with a variety of colors , Tamiya has a huge selection of colors including clears that look fantastic on chromed or silver parts, but I usually have to order. Testors seems to last the test of time on durability. Doubt you'll find any codes on Scotty colors or that he uses either of these to be exact.

As long as you're not stamping initials and just paint filling letters , It won't devalue the putter. Some may even pay a little more for a different paint scheme than retail. Use to be the case many moons ago when I refinished Scotty's anyway.
