Hit the King Tour today

I have to say, the Cobra King Tour is the softest iron I have ever hit. In my honest opinion it is so soft that I lose track of where I made contact on the face. But that's just me. Visually they are awesome, and numbers wise they are on par with my T100's. If you want the softest iron out there definitely check out the King Tours.

I agree as I'm blown away as these are the best feeling irons I've ever hit and they look fantastic. Very forgiving and easy to control my distance with them. I'm playing the UST Recoil shafts as I've hit a few shots directly into the sun where I lost the flight of the ball and discovered the ball ended up right where I was aiming looking at a close birdie. Best purchase I've made in the last 10 years.

How does the feel compare to forged?

They feel every bit as good as the best forged out there  as I will compare them right up there with any Mizuno forged irons. I had the MP 64's years ago as these are Different but just a soft. Mis-hit are a bit harsh but my accuracy was right on target when I hit one thin and off the toe 5 yards or so distance loss but that is with any iron pretty much.

 

I had the Apex CF 16 and then TM P790 as they felt pretty nice sold them and went with the G710's very nice but I missed the forged feel as I like the Mizuno 921's and almost pulled the trigger on them but after hitting the new KING TOUR irons I wasn't looking back. I'm very satisfied with them

Distance is adequate when compared to other irons that are standard loft as so many companies now have their lofts all jacked up. I'm a good 1/2 club shorter than my G710's if not more now with the cold weather upon us

I've played the last two versions of Apex/Apex Pro and they're definitely softer than those. They seem to be pretty similar in feel to my Mizuno MMCs. Not quite as soft as the MB though. Hit the King Tours last week with the same shafts that are in my Mizunos.

I ordered the GW-been looking for something that transitions from myJ15 PW to my SM8s.

 

I have a CMB GW that has been wonderful, but these irons do appeal to me.

A bunch of positive reviews from different testers out there on the internet but only until you try them yourself you won't know what you're missing. Like with anything out there they look so much better in hand and once you hit them you will feel and hear the difference but the real test that won me over was on the course. The last time I felt anything as close to being this good was back in my Mizuno days as maybe the Recoil shafts help add to this feeling.

How's forgiveness relative to the King Tour Forged irons they're replacing? Definitely look smaller

I went in yesterday to demo the T300's and T100's again with the idea of building them into a combo set.  I hit the King Tour irons and fell in love.

 

I will have these in the bag.  They are that good.

I’ve only hit the Gap Wedge. Looks like a players cavity back-size would be similar to the at-100, maybe a wee bit smaller, but way better looking and very minimal offset.

feel similar to my J15 CB PW which is high praise.

 

I will buy these or the ZX7s after I demo both, but not sure the ZX7s can match the looks.

Many "soft" feel irons wear out very quickly. How about King Tour? If it is durable enough, I may finally change 2009 Cally Legacy irons....

Your 2009 Callaway Legacy's are the softest iron's I've ever hit, so I think it is safe to assume you can get at least 11 years out of the Cobras.

Haha, I don't practice much and that's why I still play them. But I do think they are quite durable than most forged blade irons (but blades are mostly softer imo). I usually don't buy into new iron technology but the MIM thing kinda gets my attention. I always liked Cobra clubs when I tried them but they have always ended up being my second choice. I will try them for sure!
