Here are more pics. I have tested both the Srixon Zx7 and  ZX5 and I am VERY impressed. The feel of the 1020 Endo Forged (rare to get 1020 and Endo forged now days) ZX7 is one of the best I have ever hit. Kwok said the ZX7's bend like butter and told me the ZX7's are 1020 carbon forged by Endo. Looks like Srixon swang for the fences using soft 1020 and back to Endo to do the forgings. Went to find out more and he was right. Not many are using 1020 and certainly Ising Endo to do the forgings.

 

The feel off the face is incredible. Watched all the reviews on YT and same findings. As for the ZX5 I hit the long irons real well and didn't experience that "click" that Michael Newton experienced on his YouTube review. TXG and our Johnny Wonder loved them and Ian also talked about the 1020 material as well as being forged in the Endo forging house. Incredible lineup by Srixon.

@easyyy Appreciate these pics. Phenomenal! The comparisons are just what I was looking for since no one in Vancouver has these heads yet.

 

I hit the 785s randomly a few weeks ago and was so impressed with their flight and feel. Compared them to the 921 Tours and found myself liking the Srixons more. Easier to launch and a denser sound.

 

I'm glad you included the T100s in there for comparison. The Titleists are smaller and thinner, but for me they're a bit too small. Seems like Titleist has transitioned to making the T100 line look more like blades when they moved from the AP2s.

 

I don't think I'm going to wait for the new Ping irons next year even though I'm a huge fan of their stuff.

 

These ZX7s are incredible. Fitting booked in early February!

The heel to toe length are a dead match between the ZX7 and the T100. The toppling of the Srixon are thicker and IMHGO that is better for my eye.

 

The feel of the 1020 is noticeable. The sole grind is IMO incredible as well.

@easyyythanks for the great comparison pics. Were you able to hit the new UT iron and if so would you go with it in the 3 iron if ordering a combo of ZX5 4I ZX7 5-PW or just go 3 and 4 in the ZX5?

People talk about the stronger lofts of the 785's and now ZX7's but they are identical to the MP20 MMC's and albeit 2* stronger from 3i-9i than the T100. I have to assume when they are designing the iron they take all of this into consideration to get "optimal" numbers but what are peoples thoughts on weakening the zx7's by 2* through the bag? Would remove some offset and if combo'ing with the zx5 in the 4/5 since they are by design a little hotter iron it may help gapping at the top of bag?

I didn't hit it. I did however have a 5 iron in both the ZX5 and ZX7 and tested at length in 2 sessions on trackman.

 

I was hitting them both well but I felt the ZX5 was more accurate and had better launch by 1*  even though ZX5 is one degree stronger. ZX5 spin was 300 rpm's less but the height was better and no problem holding firm greens based on the decent angle. The ZX5 is longer but I don't need distance with my irons as much as accuracy and a sole that works. To thick and I cant enjoy the game. Makes me have to chop.

 

So I decided to go 4 and 5 in the ZX5 and 6-PW in the ZX7. I wanted to  go straight through ZX7 but I had to go with the numbers I saw during testing.

 

With the hot UT a 4 iron at 39.0" at 23* vs the ZX5/ZX7 a 4 iron at 38.5" at 22*. You have an additional 1/2 inch that I would cut down, adjust the lie and I assume the head is hot so I might have to weaken the loft to reduce the distance or I would have a gap between the 4 and 5.

Weakening the lofts on the Srixon's is quite common in fittings. They can be a little low spin for some players, and if you have distance to spare, weakening them adds some spin and control. Usually, thats for a pretty good ballstriker who probably appreciates less offset anyway. 

 

Weakening 2 degrees in 5-PW, set up a nice 48, 52, 56, 60 wedge setup, and slots in nicely if you want to play the ZX 4 iron as well, or a weakened zx5 4 iron.

Are you able to see the back cavity at address in the ZX5 long irons (3,4,5) was my only worry about doing a combo.

Can’t wait to get my order placed soon. Torn between a couple shaft options, which is a great problem to have. Planning on DG X100 AMT but a couple other nice shafts keep catching my eye. Same as several others, going 3&4 in zx5 and 6-pw in zx7
