I wouldn’t blink an eye at them being small. The topline is plenty thick, and all they did was remove some of the backside so that guys who were looking for that level of forgiveness wouldn’t be put off by seeing the back of the club at address.

They’re plenty forgiving, and I know several mid-high teens caps that will be putting them in play.

Judging size is relative.
I’d love to see top and bottom comparisons of the 85s to the xs. 65s as well.
I think we can all agree they’re trending smaller. Whether you think that’s thick or not is personal opinion.

The 65s and 85s were both 1020 and ending forged. Go to the reviews of each on this site.
that’s just bad info.
It’s the same process.

1020 yes, but from what I have read and seen, 785 and 765 were not forged by endo. Weird..

Here are more pics. I have tested both the Srixon Zx7 and  ZX5 and I am VERY impressed. The feel of the 1020 Endo Forged (rare to get 1020 and Endo forged now days) ZX7 is one of the best I have ever hit. Kwok said the ZX7's bend like butter and told me the ZX7's are 1020 carbon forged by Endo. Looks like Srixon swang for the fences using soft 1020 and back to Endo to do the forgings. Went to find out more and he was right. Not many are using 1020 and certainly Ising Endo to do the forgings.

The feel off the face is incredible. Watched all the reviews on YT and same findings. As for the ZX5 I hit the long irons real well and didn't experience that "click" that Michael Newton experienced on his YouTube review. TXG and our Johnny Wonder loved them and Ian also talked about the 1020 material as well as being forged in the Endo forging house. Incredible lineup by Srixon.

Great work Srixon!!! Order is in. 4-5 ZX5 and 6-pw ZX7.

Your posts are dangerous!

I read the write up of your wedges last winter and next thing I was having a great phone conference with Joe Kwok and getting fitted over the phone for three new wedges - and they were incredible!  With a rescheduled vacation to Cali this spring/summer and a couple days in the Bay Area I'm hoping to connect with Joe, since we couldn't last year, and maybe do an outdoor fitting of some kind and now I see these, lol!

Pretty sure my Legacy Blacks are endo forged and the steel is similar and I love them - these "7s" look pretty nice.  Now that I've added another hybrid these would be nice from 6i-PW - although I think I just posted a few weeks ago how much I've loved my current irons and not in the market, lol.  That's what I get for seeing the "alert" and pic in the sidebar!

I think this has started from Ian at TXG commenting that they had gone back to Endo. When I tested the 785s and looked into it at the time, I was told that the 785s were, indeed, Endo forged.

Yes, I believe he mentioned 785 and 765 were not forged by endo and they were going back with this model. I usually take what he says as gospel (slight hyperbole)..I guess he is wrong?

This thread had me watching a Crossfield vid on these irons - don't think I've watched one for two years, lol.  Too much time on my hands last night during our little blizzard.  I know it's always an option, but looking at the ZX7 AW, it has me thinking whether I really need a 50 degree wedge - the PW in my Callaway Legacys feels pretty smooth and since I usually use the 50 from 100, why not just go AW?  Then again, that's one less cool wedge from @joey3108 and they are so good.  I better get in the kitchen and get some dough rising or I'm going to buy irons and wedges this morning, haha.

So from the above pics it appears that the blade length of the 5’s is shorter than the 7’s.

Optical illusion?  Due to offset making them look smaller?  Gotta be the pics.

I just looked again. The ZX5's are a little longer heel to toe than the ZX7's are.

Great clubs and feel (own a couple of Srixon iron sets and DIs myself) BUT there's A LOT going on in those back cavities, let me tell ya... not my cup of tea (aesthetically-wise). Srixon should get rid of all the TM/Cally-like hype and stick to clean and neat lines (Z965s being almost borderline to me, but nice anyway. Own I set of those little beasts myself.... lols).
