I have seen them. Just kind of remember that they didn't check any boxes for me. Bigger than the MR23, with more offset. Still nice.

Have sets of 701 CB & 705 Type M (same as J40) in backup bags in the garage.

I have the MR23 US SPEC CB, The TS-201s and 701cb. They are all Endo forged in Japan. I can't kick the MR23 out of my bag. These have the copper underlay, Thin top line, smallest touch of offset and some forgiveness in the long irons.

 

I'm looking at picking up the 909mb before long. Bridgestone is super solid. I look at all of their stuff in the shop and it looks and hits great.

 

Lots of classics from Bridgestone too. A few of their old sets were expensive as all hell - The Proisme MB and the MTN blades too.

Have you had a chance to see or hit the new 201cb’s by chance?  I’m curious on their size and shape.  Hard to tell in pictures.  They seem a little more compact than previous models, but none here to see in person.  Looks like they moved to s20c forging as well.
