Did Paige just say that any birdie is like picking up a shot on the field? Or did I miss-hear what she said?

She can't even wait for Dan Hicks to finish what he is saying.  She seems to think she is on Morning Drive where you can just run on and on.

I wonder what kind of training any of them go through for this?  I think there is some knowledge there.  But plenty of people who know the subject are unable to perform an analyst role on a broadcast.

FFS, Christie. 1:20+ to hit a 15 foot putt with less than 6 inches of break? The professional game needs a shot clock.

Ditto for Moriya. 2:40 to hit a wedge over the tree.

Shibuno is looking really good, she's gonna be tough to beat with how she's playing.  Her lead is probably even a little more solid with a couple Ams who are chasing, be interested to how they hold.  I would love too see Meghan Khang do well but I'm not sure she'll hold up, nor I'm a certain Amy will either.  Honestly, if anyone catches her it would probably come for the -2's or Sei Young

completely agree... i think SYK is "Explosive" enough (as a wily vet) and khang "erratic" enough (but not as a wily vet) to catch... Shibuno is playing like last year in Japan though I'm still also rooting for Yuka to give chase (just because LOL)... maybe I should just stick with JLPGA for my picks in majors - my non-"other tour" picks are all duds LOL...  too bad I can't go to Japan this year to watch these 2 play unlike last year with Hinako...   the LPGA is like the S&P -- already too efficient a market... JLPGA is some EM market where you can still find some "alpha" LOL

Lost through all this, Ashleigh Buhai still definitely in the mix... can still be BO version 2.0 after tomorrow's round, maybe?  -- now that'll be a story/tag line those guys will definitely latch on to come round 4 if indeed Buhai makes a charge LOL...

(Caveat:  Shibuno has not played well enough this year in JLPGA nor LPGA -- so she can easily come back tomorrow to the field, what with double/triple bogey so "easy" in CC).  That's what makes this tournament still so compelling to watch/listen to - just mute Paige from time to time and you'll be fine LOL...

Lol. Great reaction by Yui after sinking the par putt on 18 to make the cut.

Hinako is definitely in the driver's seat. Another round of three under could provide a big enough cushion going into Sunday.

Moving day is going to be critical for those at +1 or better. Even par just isn't going to cut it. Three under or better gives them a shot.

Surprised once again by the big names that didn't make the cut. The courses don't seem overly difficult. Yeah, bogies are out there, but so are birdies.

Thanks to Yui Kawamoto, rookies had more than one player who've qualified to play the weekend.

There're more amateurs in the field, and they totally outplayed rookies.  Six amateurs will play the weekend.

In a sense it's difficult to compare pros to amateurs.  Golf is such a mental game and amateurs are just more free and less encumbered by all the expectations.

66 players make the cut and they are going off in groups of 3 and split tees, just pathetic, very Majoresk  of you USGA.

Unfortunately daylight is getting short. With players taking over two minutes to hit a shot, I'm not sure a single tee would safely allow the final groups to finish. I guess they could do what they did a few weeks back when they had the final groups go off in the middle of the pack.

What other choice do they have? They don’t want to have to start at 8:00am again.

Or having a secondary cut.

This would have been the perfect time to send a message - on the clock for everyone, or else no major or delay the CME till 2021 lol...

I still dunno the solution to the "slowpokes" but shibuno ain't one of them that's for sure... Maybe top 30 incl ties would've been fine for the cut for this tournament... Would make it less disappointing for people who missed it haha...

I think you save almost an hour per group going 2 instead of three, without all the congestion.  And sure why not start at 8 am if you don't wanna get up that early play better, first group goes off basically at 10AM

That is so wrong. Adding a third player to a group should not add an hour, but sadly it happens. A twosome should be able to get around in three hours, and a threesome should take 3:30.

I guess the "early bird catches the worm" does not apply to most millennials who made the cut... Generation gap btwn us posters and golfers playing this weekens (I speak for myself though Kerr, etc may have something to say about it lol)...

Speaking like one of your favorites has missed the cut!

Don't worry, she'll win CME next week.

I tried to wake her up mid round, didn't work... At least the other 2 are still wide awake... As I said, I'll just stick to JLPGA... for this tournament, Thank goodness hinako (declined) and Yuka (failed qschool) lol...

Funny you said that; there're probably more Generation Z than millennials who've survived to play the weekend.
