Why don’t more tour players play TaylorMade golf balls?

It's all about the money.  Titleist has historically paid better than any other, with their ball/shoe/glove deals.  It might not seem like much, but it matters to a rank and file Tour player.

 

It's exactly the same reason TM had the driver count for so long.  Weirdly, people don't hesitate to point this out about TM and drivers, but give Titleist a pass on it in the golf ball arena.

 

It's also not unlike how Titleist pays for those worm's eye level close-ups of Cameron putters. Not sure if it's still ongoing, but it was talked about quite a bit on forums several years ago.

 

It's always money money money.  PGA Players have well earned their rep for selling themselves to the highest bidder.
