Zipcore vs Glide 3.0

Have narrowed it to these two. Have a i210 set I’m trying to pair wedges to. Anybody play both? Trying to narrow it down!

Zipcore. Better spin, looks, feel and value to me personally.

Haven’t played the ping but did demo them outdoors. Just didn’t feel like I ever made good contact with them for whatever reason, shots either seemed to fly super low or would just float up in the air. Didn’t find the same issue with the RTX or Vokey.

 

Looks wise, it’s Zipcore by a mile over the ping for me.

I would be really interested in the rtx and zip core va the vokey. The technology in the ping glides is off the charts, but I can’t say that I am drawn to playing them. Looking for a little for distance on my wedges which I think the Cleveland wedges maybe able to provide vs vokey

I own the Glide 3.0 and ZipCores. The Pings had better turf interaction for me until I tried the Full Grind on the Clevelands. I definitely like the shafts in the Clevelands better. The spin on the Clevelands started out to be better but after a month or so of wear, the Pings spin better and hold up better. Feel on the Clevelands is softer for sure. The leading edge on the Pings are much more rounded and I personally prefer the look of the Clevelands. The Pings are significantly more forgiving though. Just make sure you get the right grind and you'll be happy with either.

I love the Ping Glide 2.0s.  Best wedges I've ever used.  I carry 50, 54, 58.  Grooves stay sharp.  The standard shaft works very well for my game.  As others write, get the right grind for your needs and game, no matter what you choose.

I've been really happy with the Ping Glide 2.0's.  First wedges I plan to have in my bag for more than one season.  That says a lot, at least for me.  I tried the 3.0, but just stuck with the 2.0.

Tried both in the late spring, went with the Glide 3.0 50, 56, 60. Mostly since my irons are G400s. My home course has rock hard greens, in the past had to play for significant roll out. Glides are the first wedges, for me, that I can attack pins when the opportunity presents.

Picking the correct grind is the most important thing.  
 

the Glides are very forgiving on fuller swings if that matters. 
 

I really like the Pings, if you like a heavier shaft then upgrade to DG, the AWT is a good shaft but lighter and softer..

Good point on the grinds. I’m a low handicapped so don’t really need the extra forgiveness

I played the i210 for a season, and the one knock I have is the PW bounce is measured at 13* for a standard set-up. I actually wanted to go retro lofts and that would measure the bounce at 15*. It was just too weird to have the PW as my highest bounce club.

 

The 3.0 do look nice and will blend well but keep in mind of the bounce. Also, the shaft is is light weight if that suits you? Lastly, the 3.0 stock grip a clever length for choking down.

So I played the RTX3 raw for a season & loved them... switched to the stealth glide 2.0 last year... loved them as well... this year I tried the glide 3.0 (not stealth) & they felt so much clickier... loved the 2.0 A LOT... but don’t love the feel of the 3.0 for some reason... enter the raw zipcord... feel, forgiveness, spin, looks... so far I’m not looking back at all... glide 2.0 > 3.0 & RTX 3 < zipcord... just my opinion though

I love my glide 2.0 stealth. Best ping wedge ever IMO. Never liked Cleveland wedges, shape and feel were meh.
