Modus 125 or 130

Currently using Modus 120 but I would like to use heavier shafts. Love everything about it but maybe the weight.

 

Would Modus 125 or 130 be a better choice for similar feel and flight? 

 

Note: I can't try them out hence asking this forum.

Modus 120 is unique, and neither 125 or 130 will feel the same.  130 is for a very late release like Sergio.  125 might be an easier transition.  Purchasing a single shaft to test will probably be your best bet to answer your question accurately.  Everything else is a guess or opinion.

Agree with Rex.  All 3 of those shafts are unique in their bend profiles. 

 

If you like the 120, the other two are fairly different.  I agree with Rex, I guess the 125 would be more similar to the 120.

I've played both the 120 and 13. The have very different flights but I liked the feel of both.

Same flex, the 125S plays stiffer by 1/2flex in my swing vs the 130S. The 130 is very unique in that it provides the tour weight but has a very active tip for late releases and aids ball flight height with out adding much spin. Very active.
 

I love the 130 in the jacked lofted heads like the P790 irons etc.  The 125 was similar weight feel but definitely a lower ball flight/height and seemingly more spin on short to mid irons. Not bad just different completely vs the two.

Modus 120 is like a softer, exaggerated version of the Dynamic Gold profile; the profile of the 120 stiff is very close to DG regular.  Modus 125 appears to have a very similar profile to Super Peening Blue, but a bit lighter.  Based on my SPB use, I would say 125 is closer to DG, and therefore closer to the 120, albeit nearly a flex different.

 

The Modus 130 is almost a diametrically opposite profile to the 120.  Stiff butt, stiff mid, softer tip.  If it works for your swing, it's great, but if it doesn't, not so much.  I'm one of those in the not so much camp.  <shrug>

Wait for the Modus 115. It’s slightly heavier than your 120 with a bend profile similar to DG.

125 is similar in feel, performance and profile to the dynamic gold. 130 is like the KBS Tour V if you have experience with that. 130 can feel more stiff because of the stiffer butt and mid section.

Haas anyone soft-stepped a set of Modus 125 Extra Stiff?  Curious how they would play/feel?

I played Modus 125x and it felt like DG and PX had a lovechild..!! Bang in the middle feel wise and arrow straight

Just switched to 125x coming from x100 and before that 120x.  If I had to rank them 125>x100>120x.  125x has all the great qualities the x100 has but smoother feel and for me, less spin.  120x did not fit me at all although it did feel amazing.
