Callaway Apex and Apex Pro 21

They do look sweet but am hoping they don't have that 'hollow feel'.  I did like the 19 Pros.

I'm confused... I'm hearing talk of 3 models in this thread, but the pics only show 2. One is obviously the "DCB" model, but the other doesn't say "Pro" on the back. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but could the chromed version we saw in the pics be the standard Apex and not the Pro?

 

Also, I think someone else said previously that the Pros had a similar look to the MB? I'm not really seeing that in the Instagram pic.

 

Basically I'm just wondering if we haven't actually seen the Apex Pro yet?

 

EDIT: Nevermind, I see it says "PRO" in that pic. It's just very blurry.

The Pro is the first pic in the post. There are 3 pictures showing the 3 models. Link is above, and you'd better move quick since it in 10x more likely to be removed now. 😂

Pic 1/3 is the Pro. You can see “Pro” faintly in the channel. 2/3 is the standard Apex and 3/3 is DCB.

I'm intrigued by the DCB. I have a tendency to put my ego to the side when I buy irons, and go as game improvement as I can without being a detriment to flight path. If the DCB are more forgiving than the standard apex, but still look good, have great feel, and have the right specs, we could have a serious contender.

Excited to see what is different with the standard version and hear more about the dcb. From the pictures it doesn't look like a pro combo set will blend all that well though.

Okay Callaway....now there's a Pro DCB. So even more forgiving than the standard Apex? So now we have even more conflict in the iron lineup. Between the two current lines of 'retail' heads and now the Pro line. lol

Either the OEMs are getting sloppy this close to Christmas or they like the buzz this 'leak' is generating but the pics are still up and the link still works, as a side note it also includes the 'leaked' ping i59 irons as well

Question to those who have hit the new ‘21 Apex Pro & the standard model, how do they compare in performance to the 19 version of the same models.  
 

Also, in your opinion, what significant improvements did they incorporate for someone to convince themselves the upgrade is worth the expense?

Yes there are definitely a few that have. Reps have all their samples in hand now and are finalizing their spring bookings for the Apex line and new Max line.

There's the Apex Pro... the Apex and the Apec DCB (Dual Cavity Back)...

 

The DCB's are the biggest and most forgiving...

X forged CB are $200/club. I’ll assume the new Apex 21 will be at least that much $. Prices are getting out of control. Especially considering they’re still probably made in China.

Definitely correct.  I played with a group about a month ago now and one of the guys is a Cally rep locally here.  Along with the new woods (which he has had for a while now), he had the reg Apex and the DCB with him (just 7 irons....not full sets).  I got to hold them in hand and everything, but didn't hit them.  Only new one I got to hit that day was one drive with the Epic Max driver

no smoke this year. At least none planed at release. If one comes later I don't know. I kind of doubt it though, Callaway does not feel they move enough to be worth it.

I'm surprised how similar the 19 and the 21 Apex standards look. To the untrained eye they look identical. Looks like they moved a hair more weight toward center from the perimeter. Will be curious what their tech story is upon release and what other changes might be present. (And selfishly, I'm happy they look almost the same as the Apex 19s I just bought a few months back. 🙂 )
