I want to post this in all caps so you know I am yelling, but I won’t. Run as fast as you can from CC!! Go see a PXG fitter. If you can afford Gen4 irons then I would do that. For me, they were much better than Gen3. Gen4 P is the best iron I have ever hit! Not even a question. I am done now. I’ll be quiet.

Osprey, I would most definitely go to a PXG fitter versus CC. And yes, the Gen4 irons are really that good. Straight. Forgiving. Great feel.

The chart is correct. Spent time this week hitting them and yardage results were consistent with gains showed in chart.

Great - I have my fitting on Wen.  Really did not want to upgrade from my Gen 3 irons, but if the chart is correct and what you said will be a no brainer.  

 

Upgrading driver from my Proto does not sounds like it may not be as much as a gimme.  If it is a big difference, might as well get the whole bag.  Although, would never use all those clubs.

Thanks II'll do that.  Going to a PXG club fitter for me is kind of a PIA because one of the clubs the site saying there is a fitter is a hike for me to get to.  When I hit Gen 3 I was saying that they were one of the best clubs I've ever hit    I guess at this price point its worth it....thanks.

Have you had a bad experience with CC?  Does the PXG fitter use a Trackman?  Have you ever used TrueSpec for a fitting?

My local PXG fitter uses Trackman. CC can get expensive with all their add on "services" which is just another revenue stream for them. Buyer beware with those 3rd party fitting companies.

Yes, have used CC and man are they a ripoff. Stay clear. With Snaggy, third party fitters are much more expensive. PXG does use trackman and they are very good at what they do. They are not salesman, just fitters. Excellent customer service.

Agree with this 1000%. My PXG fitter has never tried to sell me anything.

Like what I'm reading.  Million dollar question is I'd like to demo clubs in an outdoor setting to really see the ball flight.  Simulators are fine but would like to see the ball action.  Might need to head to an outdoor fitter, somewhere....thanks!

I'm like you when getting new clubs, gotta see real life flight path, etc. If you don't go to a PXG store instead, use a local PXG fitter, you'll more than likely get to hit at a range. All my fittings have been at ranges.

I have the Gen 3's and unfortunately I agree that the Gen 4 irons are better.   Little easier to hit, even better feel.  Yup its gonna get expensive for me.

Crazy to here but are they worry double? I just bought gen 3 tours at 180 but I just don’t ever see spending 350 an iron

Haha CC after they Pure the iron shafts and sell you crazy expensive shafts your $2000 set will be $3000

Got a notification from PXG last Tuesday that my Gen 4 irons would be in Saturday. According to the FED EX tracking they were to be delivered by the end of the day. Anyway they never came so I checked tracking, now being delivered by noon on Monday (yesterday). Didn't show and now the tracking info shows delivery date pending, which from past experience with a TV means they lost it.

 

Contacted PXG this morning and they are working with Fed Ex and supposed to contact me by the end of day tomorrow with the results.

I've had FedEx do me like that. Mine was at the hub for over a week and the delivery date kept changing. They told me they were overwhelmed with deliveries so they'll get to it when they get to it.

I doubt theyre worth twice the price.  I thought the gen2 were better tnan the Gen3.  Ive had several set of both Gen 2 and 3 and go back to the 2

 Yeh this is my second time within 2 months. Ordered an 80" OLED TV and 1 late day led to 2 and then 3. Finally they sent me a notice saying it was lost. Had to have the vendor send me another one.

My Gen4 Ts showed up today. Heads pulled and ProjectX LS 6.5 curing as we speak. Tomorrow I’ll have them on gc Quad next to my Gen3s for a head to head.

Proto is staying in. Recently have been playing with tee height.  I have a neg AOA, so I've gone to a lower height. My drives are a ton better, finding the center more, and are more accurate and longer.

Well checked tracking# this morning and it still said "Delivery Date Pending".

 

Got home from the gym about 10:30am and the clubs were on the front porch. Never got a notice or email or anything. But Damn glad they are here.

Picking mine up tomorrow; similar issues with FedEx

 

 I went the Gen4 full bag route. FedEx managed to get the bag and hat to me on time (Saturday); but the clubs (shipped out and due for delivery the same day as the bag) went missing ....FedEx finally found them and are getting them to me tomorrow.

They arrived today, 7 days, headcovers are 🔥. Clubs looks great in person. Since I've already played today, I'm going to get them out on the course Saturday/Sunday.
