Can anyone tell me how much length is added to the total length when installing the shaft on the new TSI3?

IE. If I want my driver to play 45", what length should the shaft be, with grip and adapter?

Thanks!

This plays 45".

Took my TSi2 out last night for a quick 9.  I installed a VS Proto 60x that I had laying around and I have to say, I don't know what happened but it completely woke this driver up for me.  I hit some absolute bombs with this combo, to places I have never hit it on this course before.  I know people say that all the time but it's all I could think of when I got up to my ball.  My buddy was commenting on how long this driver is, and it's not even close to others I have been gaming.  I was hitting fairways as well, which was really nice because with the distance I was getting it was much easier to hit greens with shorter irons in.  I have to admit, I was about to give up all together on this thing but it has gotten my attention once again.

After adjusting it to my liking, this driver is the longest Titleist driver i've owned. I'm consistently on the top-end of my usual driving distances. Driving accuracy has always been a strength of mine so no issues there.

Out of box setup (Not fitted, but I used my last driver specs as the benchmark): TSi3 9*, +4 weight, AV Raw White, 44.5"
Adjusted setup: 8.25*, -2 weight to T1 position, Diamana LTD D+, 44.5"

My testing is complete.  Took me a while to find the right shaft combo.  The Kuro Kage XT TX is a complete beast.  In the cold I’m hitting the longest drives I might have ever hit.  I did bump the loft to 9* instead of 8.25 which has helped.  This might be the best driver of 2021.  It’s the best driver I’ve ever had.  I have zero complaints.. I was skeptical initially because of the setup but after going to a shaft that I’ve been familiar with it’s completely sold me on the combo.  Hope everyone’s testing is going well.

Cota...pretty sure I am following you here but want to clarify.  Bare shaft with no adapter needs to be 43.5".  Once adapter is on, it will measure 44" from adapter tip to grip butt.  Then when head is attached you have a playing length of 45".  I know all previous titleist drivers played at 45" with a 44" shaft with adaptor.

Not Cota, but this is correct. Adapter tip to grip butt of 44” plays 45” in the TSi3.

Can any of the testers compare the forgiveness differences between the TSi2 and TSi3?

I MUCH prefer the TSi3 shape, but not enough to give up a tremendous amount of forgiveness.

Just looking for any feedback or perspective on the differences between the two.  Thanks!

I haven't compared them head to head but I wouldn't call the TSi3 hard to hit at all. It seemed more forgiving than my 917D3.

While I didn’t hit a ton of balls with the TSi3 during my fitting due to my low spin numbers, I wouldn’t say that the driver is unforgiving. With that said, in my rounds and range time the TSi2 has been a different level of forgiving on both low heel and high center.

I’ve been to the local top tracer range a few times to hit balls. In the picture below the purple circle is the TSi2, the light green is my previous driver. It was around 35* when these were hit.52078540-64C9-4605-93BA-989DBCDC35DA.jpeg.c877abe0ec410166cc2b82764f85bb66.jpeg

For those of you who have been playing with the driver and the woods how is the face durability. More interested in the woods due to turf interaction.

My new ts2’s hybrid’s face looks awful after a little practice on the range.

My CC is a titleist facility and we get fresh balls on the range regularly.

A little disappointed.

You'll find that with any black coated clubs. Doesn't matter if balls are "fresh" if you hit behind the ball you'll get sand in between contact that will scar the face.... that's golf

I bought the TSi2 3w and took it straight to PGA West a couple months ago.  First time I hit it was on the range there... after two balls it looked like I had been playing it for 6 months.  I was pretty bummed the face didn't hold up better but, that's what happens I guess.  Funny thing, I have a 917f2 that I also brought with me and this did not happen on the range with that club or my 915h.

No way.  Absolutely no way.  I know they will scratch up eventually, but that's not normal use.   I play 4-5 times a week and practice on a range that is over sanded.  I make sure to keep the club face clean and balls clean.  This is my 3 and 5 woods after several months.

You’re going to wear the finish over time but if that’s after 20 strikes I would recommend cleaning off the range balls before hitting them.

I've had the TSi3 16.5 for a bit and liked it so much I ordered the driver blind and also grabbed the TSi2 16.5 head.  I could happily play either. But I may go with the 2. Both are great off the tee but the 2 seems to be a bit more versatile

The TSi3 driver has been extremely impressive so far. Titleist is bringing it with this line.
