I might be a little scared of  Nasa tomorrow, she hasn't had a really good round this week so far and she's usually has 1 good low one every week.

Well, Nasa and Yealimi were my picks this time, so for once I wasn't that far wrong. I like what I see of Yealimi. She looks solid in terms of confidence and what some call "stickability". As far as I can see a generally nice and fun personality, but that can hide a lot of competitiveness in many sportspeople. Smiles on the outside, iron within. I'm thinking of snooker player Stephen Hendry as I speak, who got to the top in his teens, but there plenty of others. We'll see if that's true of Yealimi.

You often see this in the second child - Brooke, Nelly for example. I don't know where Yealimi is in birth order.

I posted a news article in the odds and ends thread a few days back that discussed this exact phenomena.  The most glaring example is Tennis with Serena and Venus and another example in golf is Ariya and Moriya, but right now I'm not sure I can still say Ariya is better.

Congrats to Angela, gotta give it to her she went out and won it. 💪  Inbee is just looking like Inbee, should bode well for next week.  Yealimi probably didn't have the weekend she wanted but shooting -1 over the 2 days is still a fine score, just gotta keep putting yourself in contention.  Jin Young got greedy but there weren't that many holes left so understand trying to make a shot.  Nasa and Jessica had horrible Sunday's.  Also good for Charley Hull, she probably played herself into the CME today.

Yealimi Noh has taken over the lead for 2020 birdies, she's tied with Ally Ewing

1.  Ally Ewing                                   181

1.  Yealimi Noh                                 181

3.  Minjee Lee                                  179

4. Jennifer Song                              178

5.  Stacy Lewis                                176

Perhaps the LPGA should have negotiated better television contacts to get on air sooner and not be bumped/moved around as much. As good as the LPGA product can be at times what does it say when a GC highlights show draws more viewers than a live or tape delayed LPGA event? Until the LPGA leaves GC for a better deal (very unlikely) or can find a way to seriously increase viewership they will always have the worst tv windows on GC when it comes to tournament golf.

You can't negotiate with  a network that doesn't want to air you.  The thread about the financial realities of being a LPGA Tour pro gets into it quite thoroughly.  If they don't get good ratings on *Golf* channel, what makes you think they will get higher ratings somewhere else?

Heck of a round by Angela. 'Probably shouldn't be surprised that the veteran Texan won in tough conditions. Her putting looked Inbee-like, but it was her solid iron and wedge play that did it for her. She was sticking them close while her chasers were missing greens.

It's fitting to see Yealimi, Inbee, and So Yeon tie for 2nd. All three had good rounds, but Angela simply outplayed them. All should take a lot of confidence into next week.

Nice to see Jin Young find her form so quickly.

What a difference a year makes. Last year's winning score was -18. The 2018 event was weather shortened to three rounds, and the Sung Hyun still managed -11. I assume we won't see this tournament played in December again (hopefully). I'm sure the players would agree.

To revive an old nickname, congrats Texas Ranger!  I love when the older vets come in and make some hay.  Congrats Angela!

Stopped by a golf course in Sioux Falls a couple years ago for lunch, was leaving as she was arriving to head down to the range/indoor facility - very nice person!

I've always heard she was a solid individual from people that have met her.  However, they all said she was uniquely Texan, which of course, comes as no shock!  LOL

And what does "uniquely Texan" mean?

Texans are a different breed of person.  All of the Texans I know say they are Texan first, then American.  Very independent, stubborn and don't give a damn of what you think or say.  Awesome people.  I want to be Texan when I grow up, but my wife doesn't like the heat!  LOL

As someone who is uniquely Texan, I approve of this message.

Our shop and my best friend live outside of Dallas.  I love visiting there.  A MUCH different pace from Northern Virginia.  Much nicer too.  I'm desperate to move there, but my wife just can't take the heat.

So very much that "Lone Star" spirit lives on?
