Nike Footwear 2021 (Unofficial Thread) (***NO BUY SELL TRADE POSTS***)

Recommended Posts

  • 2 weeks later...

I want to ask the experts here about sizing and traction. I received a gift card for NDC and I want to use it on golf shoes. I’m torn between the AM90G (all white or sail/red/white/beetroot) and TW20 (white).

I currently play in React Infinity Pro (normal width) in size 11. Tried both 10.5 and 11, and finally settled on 11 to get more wiggle rooms in the toebox. While normal 11 was still a bit narrow around mid foot initially, I broke it in and got used to it. I tried the wide version and it was just too wide.

I’m wondering if I go with TW20 (normal width), should I try 10.5 or go straight to 11 like my current t React Infinity Pro? I’ve tried AM90G in store and I’ll need to go 11 on that for sure.

Next question is about traction of AM90G. I had an AM1 NRG before and thought that sole pattern was acceptable. Now the AM90G has different traction pattern (looks shallower), I’m wondering how do they hold up on the course? I’m in Los Angeles so the courses are pretty dry when I play around mid days, except for occasional morning rounds when the grasses are slightly wet from sprinklers.

Thanks in advance for any feedbacks!

FWIW, I wear a size 13 shoe across the board and I have flat feet. Size 13 TW71s were perfect and I never really had to break them in to avoid pain. The TW20s have the same soles as the 71s so I would by true to size and you should be good.

I need an opinion on the ZITs. After missing the AJ4 drop this morning, I'm tilting and debating picking up the Hot Punch ZITs after missing hot punch on all the other drops. That said, I have flat feet (see above) and when I tried wearing Adidas XT360 PKs I couldn't even make it 12 holes without my arches being on fire. Are ZITs going to feel the same? Should I go 13W or 13 regular considering I can wear a standard 13 in ADG4s and TW71s.

IMO the AM90 traction is way better than the AM1's. I have slipped a number of times during my driver swing with the AM1's but not yet in the AM90 and have been playing in them all season in pretty much all conditions. I wouldnt even consider wearing my AM1's in wet conditions let alone morning dew.

I have also found the all black and all grey to be slightly narrower than the infrareds and miami ones, maybe due to the toe box material difference.

The ZITs fit good for me. But every foot is different. I wore them for over a year and had multiple near slip and falls. The soles are like ice skates. Especially on wood surfaces that are wet. I recently fell in them and bruised my back. I sold them a week later. Be careful while walking in them

See I'm the opposite, I find the traction of the AM1s significantly better than the 90s when I'm swinging and I use both to walk on dry days.

Right.. Don't post about something and not link it

Well, that's because I can't.  Sorry...not getting my contact in hot water just so I can spread it all over social media.  You don't have to like it, but that's the way it is.  There are many out there that are in the same boat as me. 😉

BTW, the ZIT 2s (Infinity Tour Next%) are wild!!  Can't wait to try them.

Seeing how expensive the Next% running shoe line is... I'm guessing these will have a big price hike.

Haven't seen any leaked photos or specs, but I am into running shoes.  I'm guessing minimally, there will be ZoomX foam instead of React.  Maybe Air Zoom? Maybe a carbon plate?  Just hope it doesn't have a massive stack height like the trend in running shoes lately.

I will do me.   I haven’t divulged anything other than the fact that I know what they look like.  LOL.

Have a great evening, buddy!
