I'm looking for help in identifying this set of Titleist blades that I've acquired.  I think they are probably a prototype or tour iron in the 2000 to 2004 era considering the similarity to the 660-690 model irons.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You answered your own question, that is prototype or for Tour play.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

super jealous of that find.  I have a similar set but I’ve worn mine out.

timeline is correct.  I’d guess 2000-2002.

it’s either a tour players set or a made to order retail custom grind set.   The no rings on the hosel and hand stamps are the dead giveaway.   Here a pic of my sets pw.     By the way.  Sets like these are being asked around $3500 for.   In great condition.  My set I’ve worn the faces out.  But yours appear unused.  And has the 2 iron.

Wow.

They seem to have abit of the 695MB look about them, especially the sole shapes and lack of 'bulge' on the curved muscleback. The 695mb were also a little more compact from heel to toe than the 690 as you mention these are so maybe a proto/tour only prior to the 695mb release? Made them look like 660/70/80/90 in the pros bag for us punters but abit of a new design?

Good looking set of irons there, very 681 without the hosel ring.  The interesting thing about the irons that I have are the reverse curve of the muscle, for a Titleist iron it's something I haven't seen before.  Other than the 695mb,  which looked to be a departure from the previous 600 series forgings in finish and feel.

That's what I'm thinking maybe a custom or and in-between prototype before the 695 was rolled out... look and feel closer to the 670/680/690 but more toe weight and slight longer hosel.

I tried researching this as well... couldn't find much.  If anyone can chime in it would be greatly appreciated.  From what I did find, the NDI was a custom True Temper option for many years.  To me, the design is very similar to some of the newer steel shaft designs, a mid to high kick point with unique stepping and a stiff tip like the PX LZ or Modus 120.  Although they weren't lightweight, similar to the Dynamic golds around 130 grams.  A True Temper custom fitter might be able to add more about the characteristics of this shaft.
