Been posting for a bit, so I figured I'd say hi and whatnot.

 

A little background:

Started playing in 1988 as a college credit. I am right handed, but was switch hitter in baseball and preferred batting left. So when I ordered my Sears Starter clubs, I ordered left not knowing this would be a serious limitation down the road. 

 

Fell in love with it as a casual hobby until '96 when I decided to get a full set of irons for a company golf tournament. Ping Zing 2 knockoffs that I played until a few months ago.

 

I have never played more than a couple rounds a year, if at all until the lockdown. At 49, skateboarding has gotten a little to painful so I needed a better creative outlet. Golf is perfect, so I bought my son and grandson sets and refreshed my bag. 

 

I just joined a local ghetto club that I am just loving. I have played about 2 dozen rounds in the last 2 months and am loving it. 

 

The refreshed bag is mostly clubs I wanted when new but wouldn't dare spend the coin. The irons just sort of happened and I love them. Still trying different balls and have the new Golf Pride Concept Helix grips coming Tuesday.

 

Tons of great info in these forums, I have learned a ton since I joined a bit ago.

One advantage/disadvantage to being lefty is equipment limitations. Left has come a long way in 30 years, but still a fraction of the market. 

 

The idea of the combo iron set fit me perfect and I was lucky to score a set of 5-PW  Nike Vapor Pro Combos for $125. The previous owner started to strip them like the MMPROTO and only did the PW mostly. So they look like hell but the faces are perfect. Not sure if I will finish stripping them or not.
