Not really, it's just that there are other possible explanations according to that reference.  I'd still argue that most pickers don't have a negative AoA.  But it's just semantics, the takeaway from my experience is that thin soles work best for me as a picker/shallow swinger.

My swing is shallow and I play Ping G25s - better for me than thin soles and I have been fit by one of the clubfitters often used/cited by Golfwrx.

Try the Callaway Mavrik MAX. Very good variety on shafts.

 

I tested out the Mavrik family this spring, and found I could hit the MAX higher and 10 yards longer than the base Mavrik. And, the MAX has higher loft than the base MAX.

 

A couple of fitters have told me the MAX and base Mav have entirely different head designs.

 

And don't worry so much. As a picker you are less likely to deloft the club so much you  would have trouble with launch.

I would look ar T300 irons.  They are great golf clubs that just flat out perform.

I have been a sweeper for years whose bad shot is a hook. I was fitted for Mizuno 900 hotmetals when they first came out and they work so well with turf interaction that I have yet to find anything better. I wanted the latest Ping iseries at the time and the hotmetals were much better for me. I would try the hotmetals, they are strong on shots hit low on the face and they don't dig. I also try to stay away from a lot of bounce.
