Awesome! Will the previous shafts still fit? I like how Cobra never messed with the adapter. Still playing my F8+ is why I ask.

If that shaft and adapter in the photos are for the RAD, which I presume they are, then that looks exactly like the one Cobra has been using for years now, including the F8+. I believe they only changed the markings on them starting with the F9.

I'm sure they are performers but volt is a tough color for me.

Just watch point break like 10 times and decide to only live life to get radical.

honestly, I don’t like the sole of my ltd pro but love the way the ball flies... the crown looks great on it... I dislike the look at address of the speedZone but think the rad might be better.

im excited to at least hit it! Have plenty of shafts with cobra tips in the basement.

What are the main differences between the two?

There are actually 3 models. What you could call the standard. Which is the lowest spinning. The XB which is the previous extreme. Then a XD which is an extreme with draw weighting.

Other sites that shall not be named have the picture of the Blue version

And it looks shall I say "Rad"

In all seriousness, the blue version looks beyond cool

This will be a contender for sure.

I haven't watched the video yet, but txg pulls shots out of their testing if the strike is off center by a certain number of mm. Unless his testing was consecutive shots, with none removed, then dispersion should always be tight. I hate how they remove shots so we can't see what happens on a bad strike. Drivers improvements are now about forgiveness and consistent ballspeed on off center strikes. Removing those strikes removes video review of how good the driver is.

They say at the beginning of each vid whether they pull shots or not. Some times they do some times they don't. I think it depends on what they are really trying to show. The point of these videos should be to showcase the gear. Not a player had his abilities or lack there of.

Yeah, I get that. When i test drivers I'll throw out really terrible strikes if the strike was because of a tendency to over swing on a launch monitor. But I am still a big believer that driver progress is about the bad strike, not mostly perfect strikes.

In reading about the RAD driver I noticed the XB (blue one) is 46 inches in length

That could be a deal breaker for me

I have trouble with anything over 45.5 inches

It's why I have stayed away from Ping and TaylorMade

Tour length is 44.5 inches but how much distance an i giving up?

I am sure I could custom order but i would need to hit whatever I bought 1st.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
