Just ordered a radspeed in the Turbulence/Turbo Yellow colorway with a Ventus black. Very curious about the colorway! I am more of a fan of the gloss heads. 

 

Also helped since cobra gave me a 10% off coupon to ease the wallet😅

Finally got a chance to hit the XB 9* Tour Length at the range, will play with it this weekend. Previous driver was the Cobra F9 10.5*.

 

Same club, different look... haha... I think it's more forgiving my a smidge but same old same. 

 

The F9 had 2 weights, one in front and back. The XB is weight back only, so definitely launches higher. I'm using the Tour Length 9*, so it has the heavier 16g weight in the back and even at 9*, it launches it as high as my old F9 10.5.

 

It was worth the upgrade for me because I'm going up to a different type of head, besides that seems the same.

 

The biggest change that I like is the infinity face which the SZ had, no more chips on the top line which my F9 had.

Yes, my F9 10.5 was tour length and had the heavier weight in the back. It's just that the XB has 2 weights there, one not removeable 14g and one removeable 16g, that's 30g back there. I guess it makes it more forgiving. It makes sense that it launches it higher compared the F9.

Gotcha, makes a lot of sense. The whole Radspeed line dropped a lot of spin compared to the F9. In Rich Shiels review, the XB spun around 400rpm less so that with the added forgiveness is awesome.

 

Loved everything about my F9 but found it pretty unstable on low/high strikes. The Radspeed appears to have addressed that while lowering spin which is great for me since i'm looking to lower spin a tad.

I'm making the upgrade from F9 to Rad XB. Same loft and length in both. For me, XB spins less (4-500 RPM) than the F9 with the weight forward. Nothing will feel as good as the F9 off the middle of the face and I love the matte/gloss crown on the avalanche colorway. F9 just wasn't as stable on mishits and I had a really hard time hitting a controlled draw. XB is not the nicest looking shape out there, but not bad enough to turn me off.  What I would keep in mind when testing is headweight. My F9 was D4 and the XB was D0 with the same shaft on both. XB was around 5-6 grams lighter. Tried the Radspeed forward weight (12 grams) in the back of the XB (+6 grams) and it made the driver feel waayyyy more solid/stable. Ping "stable".  If you get good numbers with a Ping G425 LST and think it looks hideous (which it does), I would give the XB a swing. It's definitely the sleeper of the lineup.

 

Also hit:

Radspeed: Great shape, similar numbers to the XB with more fade bias.

Ping G425 LST: As noted above, can't stand the look of it.

TSi3: looks incredible at address, but not an upgrade in performance from TS3. Was expecting more.

Sim2: looks worse at address and performs no better than SIM. Sim(2) is my #2 option. Not enough difference in performance to justify the higher cost over Cobra.

Yeah I'm really liking the color options cobra is offering.   For myself looks at address start making more of difference when everything is bunched so closely #s-wise

So are we expecting these all to be quicker than the estimated February times or were you aware that it would be this quick?

I don't think anyone knew, I had to tell the store I bought from that it came. They probably have a warehouse full of clubs and need to make room....haha

Man thats really quick, I hope mine arrives soon (I'm from Canada as well). I ordered mine last Thursday in the turbulence/turbo yellow colorway with a ventus black. Wondering if either the head or the shaft is why mine is taking longer..

Dang. I placed my order before the pre order and still silence. Nice to see them showing up but I’m a bit sad mine is nowhere to be seen.
