Like the feel of winn putter grips if only they were more durable. Love the feel of the Lamkin Deep Etched Cord but wish they came in a more standard size.

I like the shape of the Larkin - it’s the same as the gray Odyssey OG grips. I just put one on my Odyssey Two Ball Ten- really like how it feels in my hands.

Based on reading the forum and my putting woes I switched to a round grip and my putting got better. I have an Iomic grip.

"Shirtsleeve" swing technique:

1. Setup: Elbows bent forearms pressed together against shaft slightly forward of center with "Hogan" "active/flexed" leg tension left foot turned out slightly and the right leg slightly farther to the right - weight mostly on balls of feet butt of left hands sits on the top of the grip with very light grip.

2. Swing - W/o disturbing weight distribution of legs and feet lower hands while doing a forward press "swing trigger" then the left upper arm takes over on the backswing, it needs to go out in front of the body then back in front of the chest as the hands trace down initially then up to over the right shoulder "Torres". The goal is to not disturb the pressure of the feet during the initial takeaway.

Notes:

1. Only swing thought after swing trigger - extend left arm at shirt sleeve when reaching left hand over right shoulder "Shirtsleeve technique".

2. The upper left arm move "Shirtsleeve technique" can be practiced independently without a club, sitting down for instance

3. The correct feet tension can be felt by doing very short hops on the balls of the feet then holding the same feeling of pressure on the front of the feet and then taking three practice swings with the grip very loose in order to not disturb the same pressure on the feet and on the 3rd swing actively do the "Shirtsleeve" move. From there the swing should be done within a matter of seconds to not lose the feel of the legs resisting, this way this is not a learned technique as much as it is a setup technique.

The Flatso is the only way to go when putting, it contours to the hands in a way no others can... it fits all grips but it works exceptionally well on the cross hand grip. Size of the grip is dependent on your hand size of course but the flat front with rounded bottom area just creates a slow stroke..

A close second that I have found is the flat cat.. with the flat sides on the left and right, it is a pretty slick putter grip. Size definitely matters when choosing the weight of the putter head you are wanting to feel.

I tried a Rosemark last month. The 1.25 lite. Absolutely love the shape of the grip. It was designed by a hand doctor and It just fits your hand perfect. It’s almost a hexagonal shape that fits the folds of your hands perfectly Lydia Ko and Russell Knox have or may still use it on tour . Plus it’s only 35gms so it helps keep weight in the head where I like it. Only 2 issues that stopped me from using it:

1 I don’t like the bigger grips that are popular right now, and the 1.25 is just a little too big. (They make two bigger sizes as well)

2 The material he uses is really slick when new. Supposedly the material is much more longer lasting and durable than what others use. However they have made an adjustment and offer a new option that isn’t as thick.

If they come out with a 1.0 version, no doubt it will go straight on my putter.

Royal Pebble and Cameron Pistolini.

I've always liked the way the Royal fit my hands on an OG Scotty Santa Fe that I gamed for 7 years and tried for a long time to find a replacement as they are getting hard to find. When I had my 009 re-shafted at Cameron, they said the Pistolini was the closest thing they had that was like the Royal.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

I used a pure grip midsize, fits my hands and the texture just locks my grip in. Even after the years of using it just had a great feel to it.
lamkin deep paddle etched/w three wraps. (Picked that setup tip from here) and has the right feel too. I can really lock in on how my grip feels alongside the putter grip and the sharp edges just remind me so well how my hands are setup that I’m just as on as I am with the pure grip. Great grip and I can only wonder how the deep etched (tigers stricker style) feels like.
I also like the ping grip(white letter) that comes stock on the newest lines. Something about the shape and texture just resonates with me.
honestly have narrowed down how my feel preferences, blade putters have to be a midsize/standard. Mid mallet can be a larger style grip.
I found out the hard way when I swapped the pure out just to try a SS gt 1.0 and the texture didn’t feel the same as the GTR on my Ardmore. It had me working harder than  I ever had to with my Nike. So got on with the lamkin and now I’m right back to what I’m use to doing.

Im a pp58 guy through and through. Ive used one for so long that nothing else feels right. Even down to the texture of the ping letters on my fingers make it just feel right and the comparable golf pride feel weird, very similar, but not the same.

The PP58 Midsize is my favorite also. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find them anymore.

I’ve been playing lamkin deep etch full

cord for a couple of seasons and really enjoy it.  Played golf pride green star before that and liked it as well.  I gravitate towards pistol style grips.

I’m really curious about the green star cord. Anyone here able to compare the green star cord vs the lamkin full cord?  I think the green star might be a touch bigger.  Interested in the difference of the cord feel.  TIA!

Rosemark 1.25 because the shape-profile is sensational and it only weighs 35 grams.

Whoa whoa whoa.....wait what? 35 grams? I have been searching for a light grip and no one mentioned these. I was hoping Salty Grips would come back and I could get something light. I have a SeeMore FGP that's only 335 grams and I've been looking for something lighter than my 50 gram SuperStroke Mid-Slim 2.0. I think I know what I'll be getting next.

EDIT: Ordered on last night. Super excited for this. Should bump the swingweight up 3-4 points or so and give me a little more feel of the head. I love the putter but it's been my only gripe about it. I've tried a dozen putters but nothing kicks the SeeMore out despite the flaw of the headweight.

I've long claimed that the Ping PP58 Midsize in the regular non-cord rubber is the perfect size and shape for my medium-glove hands and my traditional grip.

I recently regripped an older putter of mine but didn't have any extra PP58's around, so I went with the next closest thing I could find in stock around me: the Golf Pride Pro Only Red Star. I think this is the one.  It's like a hair smaller than the PP58 midsize, almost like a Pingman that's been built up with 4 or 5 wraps or something. Really firm rubber, which is perfect. It's completely transformed the feel of an old Odyssey O-Works putter, which I had never really cared for because of the insert. On the other hand, I had always used Winn/SuperStroke grips with that putter.

I actually had a Red Star on a putter before, but never really gave it a chance. I think with any pistol grip, you have to be sure that you have the precise putter length correct. If you don't, the pistol shape isn't really doing its job.

need a little help here guys

I put a brand new Superstroke tour traction mid slim on my putter and used it for the first time today.

Mega humid, high heat index- could not hold on to the thing well at all.  I have putted before with a regular counter core mid slim and it too does get slick when humid, even wiping my hands and grip right before i putt

So I want something that is the same diameter/shape as the mid slim 2.0 but better grip.  I had the 25 gram counter core weight in mine so need the grip to be around 80 grams at least

May be too late... but you can strip that awful plastic cover off the Superstroke and replace it with leather or Newbaum's cloth bar tape or whatever you fancy.
