I get in 36 holes in a day about four times a decade.

 

Area I live in now has pretty crowded courses when weather is nice, rough to get in a third round.

 

A memorable 36: Played down in Lawton, OK. It was about 95 degrees, low humidity on hard clay layout. I walked the first 27, but took a cart the final nine.

 

I wasn't overly tired, but my feet were badly swollen from pounding across the hard, baked-out turf.

I was on a project in Oklahoma back in 1999 where I was able to play a lot of golf because of a 3 man, 2 shift schedule.  On my off days I played 54 holes of golf at Forrest Ridge Golf Club in Broken Arrow, OK.  The days I had to work night shift I played 36 holes.  I would play about 12-14 rounds a week.  That shift work lasted a month so needless to say I played a lot of golf.

Played 72 holes a few times on my home course. Which wasn't long but was hilly. There used to be a cancer charity day in the uk on the longest day of the year. We walked and finished every hole, whereas many played stableford or gimmies. 

 

I carried in tbe morning then used an electric trolley in tbe afternoon. After the 2nd round I changed clothing and shoes to freshen up.

54 holes, it was a 108* that day, course empty so we just kept playing.

Left at 4:30am & drove from NYC to De to meet the boys at the club for 7:30 tee time. s*** talk begins and we run it back, then again.
 

The drive back to NYC was a struggle!!

Wow.. these numbers are scary to even think about. 36 walking is my max. I love golfing but even at the 18th hole I dont feel like putting on a full swing anymore..

54 holes riding in my mid-40's.  I didn't really start playing golf until age 40 but I am sure a 20 year old can walk 54 easily.

54 last Labor Day wkend at Crowne Pointe, Farmington, MO.

 

Last day of a two day stay and (unlimted) play.  Got there around 830 to hit balls, range was closed, so they let us go out earlier than our 930ish tee time.  Course was empty, flew through two rounds and even had a quick lunch in between.  Guess we finished last round around 4pm, its a short drive back to STL, my wife wasnt expecting me till 8 or 9 so we played another 18 lol.

 

Only get to go on these little golf trips with no responsibilities every once in a while having a wife and two kids so I wouldve played 100 if I could have lol.

A few years back a friend and I played 54 in Palm Springs in just perfect conditions. Got done, showered, went to LG's for a big hunk of red meat, downed a bottle of wine, and was in bed by 8PM.  This getting old thing sucks.

For a few years I played in a 24-hour charity event to raise funds for local juniors. Yup, here in Finland it's possible to play pretty much all night in June/July as the sun never really sets.

 

I can only really remember my last one, that time we played 114 holes in a fourball. We were all decent players and the idea was that we got donations for every par/birdie etc and that made it quite interesting.. A really fun event and a great concept, managed to keep my own total score under par and we made a good amount of money for the juniors. Also, pretty funny that I shot my best round (65) on our fifth round, after maybe 16 hours of non-stop play! Well almost non-stop, we took one about an hour long nap/shower/food break after the 3rd round. Good times

yeah i've played like 54, but can hardly imagine getting over 100 like some people. much respect to you all.

Played 100 holes. Summer in FL. Course I worked at with a buddy - we teed off around sunrise, and took carts. I think we had daylight left, but just wanted play an even 100. I played well (within my average at the time of 75-78), kept the scorecards for a long time - might still be in a closet at my mom's house.  Super fun memory!
