Bridgestone Balls

Recommended Posts

I have been a fan of Snell MTB-X this season. My favorite part is the spin around the greens. However, I would like to gain a few extra yards on my irons.

I loved the Bridgestone B300s and just got a dozen Tour BXS.

I have not tried the New BX but i recall the previous model going very far, but way too loud of a sound off the putter.

I’m considering swapping for the BRX, but concerned they won’t spin well for chipping and all.

Should I keep the BXS or give one of the other models a shot?

Thank you!

Hi @NJgolfer11 in my opinion keep the Tour B XS in play, in the rick shiels review of the 2020 ball he said it was longer that the pro v1 and the durability is outstanding. I’ve played the ball since 2018 and haven't looked back since i switched from the Nike RZN Tour platinum. Though i also prefer a softer ball 😊

Thank you DavidH88. I did love the feel of the B330s. I do love my Snells, but as far the as the OEM, Bridgestone is my favorite golf ball.

I played both the 2020 Tour BX and BXS this summer.  The BXS fit my game better...I liked the softer feel and more short game spin around the green.  Distance was equal off the driver and irons for me.

Thats great to hear, i found that out too that the bxs worked best for me after trying every other ball on the market. I’ve never played better since i started using them. I enjoy the game more with them. I just need to add a little distance to improve my game, but that will come over the winter with range sessions 😊

No problem, if Tiger help the design the ball he won the masters with then its gotta be good and is really good lol. 😊🏌🏻‍♂️👍

Try the 2020 Tour B X. Softer than the previous model, but more spin around the greens. For me it was longer than everything else, but doesn’t feel like a rock, and has tons of spin inside 80yds.

Thank you. I actually found a few this summer/fall. I’ll try give them a “shot.”

If it’s good enough for Tiger, then it’s good enough for me 😂😂.

They are fantastic balls imo, comparable to the Prov1x.

It seems like the only thing that bothers u is the sound off of a putter.
If it performs well then why bother to change?

That was an older model of the BX. The sound was irritating.

Now if it is quieter on the newer BX, I will compare them to the BXS.

I’ve been a longtime regular pro v1 user but the spin has been lowered on it and it’s not as soft as the B XS. I’m not completely committed to the switch but I’m having a hard time seeing how the pro v1 is better other than my loyalty to a titleist ball

I play snells because of the cost... I think Bridgestone might have the best ball for my game... might have to find some on sale for next season.

Watching the LPGA events the past couple weeks and find it interesting that Jin Young Ko who is currently number one women in the world carries Bridgestone bag and irons but plays Titleist Pro V1.    Honestly can’t think of anyone who carries Bridgestone bag and does not play their ball.

Also when Nike got out of the equipment business a bit surprised more of the guys who played Nike did not move to Bridgestone like Tiger.    I know Titleist pays a weekly amount for playing the ball but don’t think that would matter to guys like Brooks, Finau, etc.

Brooks does not get paid to play the ProV1x.

Kind of my point.   I know a lot of people like to bash Titleist but by far most of the top players on all tours that have a choice pick them if not bound by a contract.

Maybe it is familiarity, what they used to play, etc. but seems like they go to Titleist over the others.   Obviously there are a few exceptions but not the vast majority.

I’m a really big fan of Bridgestone balls. Currently using the 2020 Tour BX. However, in the past they made the golf balls I loved playing in the past. At the time I didn’t know it, but they made the Nike Tour Accuracy, Nike One Platinum.

I don't know what the other manufacturers do, but it's interesting Titleist can supply prior year ball models to the Tour, it might appear like 2 categories of Pro V1 or ProV1 X but it's really like 6 or 8.

100% agree with this. First round with the B X and it is an awesome ball. It is very long, very straight, and amazing around the green.

I only swing around 100 mph with the driver.

I really dont like anything Nike makes... but those RZN Black balls were missles.

At the time playing with the Tour Accuracy, I almost felt like I was breaking the rules. It was so much longer yet spun more than anything else.

I can't play a Pro V1. It spins so muchmy offline shots really curve, and I lose distance.

After finding a couple of excellent condition BX & BXS, they play fantastic.

My shots are better, and more confidence is improved.

A friend gave me a dozen E12 Bridgestone balls.

These are really good for that price range.
