The new RAD driver looks great and is very intriguing. I am currently playing a EPIC SZ. How do the RAD drivers compare to the Callaway with the jail break technology? What improvements have been made in the head construction of the RAD driver?

I have the King Cobra Baffler DWS hybrids, the 4 (23 degrees) and 5 (26 degrees) hybrids with the Aldila NV-HL 65g shafts.

 

I love these clubs, and I can't get them out of my bag.   Nothing has come close to replacing these two hybrids.   I especially like the high trajectory flight -- even though I have stiff flex shafts despite playing regular flex in all my other clubs.

 

Why should I consider the new RAD hybrids?   I'm particularly concerned that the RAD 5 hybrid is 24 degrees and will fly much further than my current Baffler 5 hybrid (26 degrees).   And, what shaft would duplicate the flight trajectory of the Aldila NV-HL shaft in my current clubs?

Can we get a behind the scenes look at what goes into the visuals of the  RAD drivers? 

My understanding is that it appears to sit quite square to slightly open at address.   You have a matte and gloss finish, wrap around face, logo...I assume a good amount of work went into the visuals - and how did your tour players influence the product?

My question is - what effect does the tour length versions of your drivers (with the heavier weights for SW) have on launch and spin? I can imagine it improves MOI but may cause launch/spin to change.

 

The last Cobra demo day I attended did not have a tour length version available and I didn't want to estimate with choking up on a normal version of your driver.

What would you say to players who wonder about the lack of explicit heel/toe adjustable weighting?

When you designing a full family of woods, how do you think about the design differences between each? Do you have a target value for each model and then maximize everything else around that value or do you start with a base model and get feedback from staffers with varied preferences that allow you to tweak one model into multiple from there. 

 

With BDC putting a 48" driver into play sometime soon, do you plan on offering a properly weighted version of any of these heads from the factory at that type of playing length?

I currently use an older Cobra LTD DRIVER and Cobra F-6 hybrids. Old tech I understand, but what could I expect in comparison with the new RAD technology? I am a higher handicap golfer if that helps direct an answer. Thank you.

Have you ever given thought to adding a one length option to the fairway wood line to complement the irons and hybrids?

 

obviously a 7 iron length 3 wood would not give enough distance to be useful, but the jump in shaft length from 37.5 inches to perhaps a 43 inch 3 wood is quite large.

 

a line of fairways that all played to perhaps 41ish inches and were spec’d out to properly swing weight at those lengths could be an interesting option.

 

would also love to see a company add some 43-42 inch drivers that swingweighted property for those who are looking to go to a two driver setup. One driver standard length built to bomb-it, one shorter for control as a 3 wood replacement.

has lost some swing speed due to age but can move ball left/right easily ?  Thanks for taking the questions.

My question is around COG and the old Cobra King LTD. That driver was unique in that it had the best combination of launch and spin ever produced IMO. The issue was forgiveness compared to the newer models. How do the new RAD models compare and do they have a COG similar or better than the LTD?
