Quality is very good. For the price, the materials look and feel like solid quality, and it’s a very well made headcover. Definitely recommend it for sure!

I tried to hold out and not buy irons over the Winter, but this was a set that I couldn’t resist!!

 

There’s a “tools not jewels” crowd out there, but I’m just not one of them, Lol!! To me a finely crafted golf club is like a work of art, and I’ve always thought the P7MC was the most beautiful iron I had ever seen.

 

When I came across this set that also have my favourite shaft of all-time, I just couldn’t resist! Will put them head-to-head vs my AP2 714’s, but based on how much I love to look at these, it’s probably not a fair fight!

I am more in the "tools" crowd and never been a fan of TM irons, but wow! those are some fine looking sticks 🤤. 

 

Everything about the 714s are awesome, so I'd really like to hear how they compare. Also, you've got a fine looking WITB too 😀.

Yeah, I really like the AP2 714’s too and they won’t be easy to beat by any means.

 

Unfortunately I won’t be able to hit them outside until April most likely, but here are some pics of them side-by-side.
 

The P7MC’s are definitely more compact and look more punishing. But also a sleeker/sexier look, and a reminder every time that you look down that you better put a good strike on the ball or else you’re going to end up in the woods, Lol!

I feel like they’ll push me to be better or else get punished and humiliated. But as former high level athlete (Basketball), I’m used to that feeling, and it’s the thing I love most about Golf!

Yeah Matt, I’ve always been curious and intrigued by the P7MC’s and thought many times about trying them someday.

 

It’s like the highest diving board at the biggest pool…I’ve looked up and dreamed about it many times. It could be the thrill of a lifetime, or a massive belly flop and end up in a world of pain, Lol!!

No, no that top one is blades I've been on the top one. I've jumped from the level below and that's scary at first but not so bad after you hit the water a few times.

Sad the the better looking the iron the more difficult it is to hit. With that being said, your background as an athlete will come in handy. Want to be a good shooter or ball handler in games? Work and work and then work some more and when when you think you’re close it’s time for some more work. Want to play players irons? You know what you need to do and since you’ve played hoop at a high level you are clearly willing to put the work in to be successful at the things you enjoy. They are definitely nice looking clubs and I hope they work for you!

Haha!! Yeah, I’ve played Blades too and I get similar feels with these P7MC’s.

 

I’m better able to handle them now though…should be a fun challenge!

Should be fun…I’m excited to give them a shot when the snow melts! Worse-case scenario, I can go back to the AP2 714’s or move on to something more forgiving.

Finally decided to put the 962b set’s jersey in the rafters. During my search for a replacement, decision came down to either a set of raw P7MC or checking out some options with Srixon again- stumbled across a great deal on some NOS Srixon 785s that could easily modify to suit, so those will get first shot. That being stated, have always liked the P7MC when tested with a lower spin ball compared to my current Tour B XS.    Hope you greatly enjoy yours!

Thanks...definitely excited to test out the P7MC's once the snow melts and I can get them on the range and the course live..going to be a lot of fun!

 

Best of luck with the Z785's! I had those a while back and the feel and control with them is excellent for sure. The main issue with them for me was that I found them very punishing on mishits and I had major problems with wrist pain and hand pain at that time. But not sure if it was the clubs themselves, the Modus Tour 120 shafts that were in them, or just a coincidence that I had hand and wrist injuries/pain at that time.

Haha...indeed! Yesterday I went with the "sneak the J's into the house while taking out the trash" trick...worked like a charm, Lol!

 

Nobody's asking questions at night while my hands are covered in garbage! 😉

 

And for sure, Jordan Golf shoes aren't for everyone, but they've been the best fit for me of any Golf shoes I've worn...LOVE them!!

New custom P770 5-iron from TM to combo with my new P7MC’s…can’t wait to test them out live! 
 

My plan is to start the season testing this new P770 / P7MC combo set head-to-head vs my AP2 714’s and have 2 Drivers and 2 putters that will go head-to-head also.
 

Losers get sold, and winners will hopefully stick in my bag throughout the season (although I’ll probably pick up some other 2023 stuff along the way to test out)! 😎😎

I totally understand! I'm in Indiana and we had a few streaks of weather warm enough that our course opened for a few days. Now we are back to snow every other day and my emotions can't handle it! 😂

I've had 3 sets of P7MC's. Have a set right now, but I keep selling them because if I have an off day they really humble me 😄 so I tried more GI irons but I always go back to the P7MC, they're just so sexy and I love the thin top line etc. I am just working on my swing to get the best out of them. Last round I hit some lovely draws into greens and there's no better feeling than when you pure a P7MC.

Man…I can’t WAIT to hit them!!

 

They’re definitely absolutely gorgeous to look at, and terrifying at the same time, Lol!!

 

I used to have a combo set of TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC/MB though, and was able to hit those pretty well. Took at look at pictures of them over the weekend, and really the P7MC and P7MB look almost identical except that cosmetically they look a lot prettier. 
 

Hopefully with the new technology the P7MC should be more forgiving than the old TP MC’s!

Just had my first range session of the season today!! Felt so good to swing the sticks, hit real balls and see real trajectories again!!

 

Absolutely LOVED the P7MC’s and didn’t necessarily find them any less forgiving than my AP2 714’s. But the feel and dispersion with them were fantastic even with freezing cold range balls!

 

Also really liked the Hzrdus Smoke 6.0 shaft in the Rogue ST Max head, so that’s definitely the front-runner over the Tensei AV White and OG Rogue.

 

Not making any big decisions after 1 cold range session, but have a good idea of how my bag will shape up over the next couple of weeks going into the season!

Special delivery yesterday! Since I’m planning on a 3 wedge setup this season, I’ve been considering testing a PW-52-58 setup vs my current PW-54-60 SM9 setup.

 

Looked at all the wedge options including the RTX Zipcore 6, but prefer the look of the Zipcore’s and feel like I probably gave up too quickly on them last time.

 

Courses will be opening up here this week, so looking forward to getting out and testing the different setup options!
