What’s the Worst Feeling in Golf?

There are a lot of bad feelings in golf. I don't know if I can comment on what is the worst:

1) El hosel

2) Being hit by a golf ball. 

3) Hitting a blade thin when its cold

4) Super heavy iron shot

5) Not being able to cover a bet (I've avoided this one so far)

6) Getting the club stuck inside

with hosel rockets it happen very seldom and can live with it 

with yips quit golf because of the chipping yips.  I bought all these wedges that don’t work. One day read a golf digest on the cover had this guy chip left handed cause of the yips 

I tried it and 20 plus years later I have no yips cause I do not chip right handed anymore   I accepted that I just can’t chip right handed.  Play all my wedges from lefty style.  Seems strange but it works for me

I've never experienced anything like this.  And not just once in awhile... legitimately 90% of my iron swings.

Seeing your cart buddy forget to strap in his bag, drive off, watch the bag slowly fall to the ground, driver hitting the hard pavement with no head cover on.

Poor putting is a morale killer for me . I hate it when I Can’t get the speed down or three jack an early hole. I Can be striping it all day (by my standards) and poor putting keeps a score way higher than it should be.

I have no bad feelings (that I can remember). That, however, is the funny thing about golf - for some reason picking up a golf club must mess with neurotransmitters. I can have a day where I'm not hitting it very well, 80 - 85 mediocre-to-bad shots. But somehow when I'm sitting at home that night enjoying a delightful beverage, the only thing I remember from the entire round is the one shot where I holed it out of the sand from 25 feet away.

I had what I think is the worse feeling in golf. Last Friday my son and I went out to play. When we got to the green on the first hole I suddenly realized I forgot my putter at home! I putted with my Ginty for that hole, but it just felt too weird, so after that I had to borrow my son's putter, which also felt weird since he likes one of those big Super Stroke grips. We're playing tomorrow morning, and I guarantee I'm not forgetting my putter!

Getting in my truck and driving away from the course only to obsessively think about playing again.  I rarely keep score I just love being out there enjoying the fresh air and the occasional awesome shot.

I dunno, i'm gonna go with those mind boggling holes when you crush a tee shot on a short par 4 end up with something between 30 & 50 yards in and miss the green on approach.. add another bad chip and a 2 or 3 putt to that and MIND BLOWN 🤣

Having 3 weeks left of a "play/practice all you want" summer membership... and a back injury that has you on the sideline for 6 weeks.

Welcome to the club! I have those kind of holes all the time! A couple of great shots, followed by short game and putting screwups.

Same here - outdoor season is done, and I have to wait until May to play back at my home course. Can of course travel, but my swing is so crap it's just not the same.

Sticking a wedge straight in the ground also sucks! Following up a good drive and a great shot at birdie with scrambling to save par or bogey due to one bad shot is a pretty miserable feeling.

Be me. 6 handicap at the time.
1st time playing Cabot Cliffs, best golf course I'll ever play.
+1 after 17 holes, 4 birdies.

Par 5 18th hole... gigantic wide fairway with water to the right(cliff), water up ahead, OB left.
Pulls Driver because its been reliable today (MORON).

CRUSHES drive OB.

+2 on the hole, +3 on the round.

Putting the worst stroke ever on this unbelievably easy eagle putt:

 

 

Had just striped my beloved 5W from about 230ish to there. Best shot I've hit in a while. Putt was dead straight, a touch uphill. Enough left to right wind to consider but it didn't matter because ... ugh.

 

And I'd been putting well up to then. Curses, I say!

proceeding to the 1st tee as a single to join a threesome and you hear beers cracked open before any balls are in the air. then the first guy tops his drive not even to the ladies tees and the other two guys just bust out laughing.

Quickly followed by "I had a bong for breakfast".  True story, I'm the single, it's 7am, and the other three have eyes as bright as Christmas lights.  No problem except for the quarts of beer they all have.  What a wonderful day it was, lol.
