On my phone this time. I learned my lesson to just be patient. This is the first time I’ve ever got a bag though. Very happy with it but very grateful as well. I know the struggle and still don’t get why they can’t just put a little more work into the site.

The site used to work great, much like any other retail membership site. Then they decided to "upgrade" and it all went to shite! 

 

Congrats, I wanted the bag and headcover but I guess this Member wasnt allowed to purchase a Member release.

Thanks man I know how frustrating it is and we can only all hope it gets better. I’ve been buying headcovers off and on the website for years and can agree it used to be much better.

Bettinardi and Swag are both Shopify sites which is why they work smoothly, but also makes them easily bottable. I've never really followed either company so I haven't botted them myself but I doubt they have the higher levels of bot protection that most sneaker stores do.

In Scotty's defense, I'm sure there are at least 10 times the amount of people trying to get his releases. But Cameron makes money hand over foot, so there really is no excuse for a poor website, they need to put more money into it.

Swag makes you answer a random question to add anything to your cart and cancel your order if it’s wrong so they are probably less prone. They also overtly talk about hating bots. Betti doesn’t do anything so maybe. What makes you think bots aren’t doing it to the Scotty site? Seems like it has less protection but I’m not an expert on these things.

Have you seen what bots are doing to sneaker releases, PS5 release.  Funny when you see items immediately listed on Ebay.  Having a few bots to pick up items would surely be paid for by flipping the items on the Bay.

 

Sad really because I am one of the buyers that want to use what I get and not just look at this posted in some room of my house.  I have been a CC member since the very beginning.  I have the original CC member headcover signed by Scotty.  Now this is one I would and have not used on my putter but every release I have purchased usually was in play for the rest of the year and maybe the next.

Random question isn't a problem for good Shopify bots. It's what a lot of sneaker stores do now. It does prevent the same person from getting a bunch since they have to answer the question for each task. The question just pops up in your bots captcha window and you answer it for each task you're running. 

 

Shopify bots are something that a ton of people have though the people who have them are mainly use/have them for sneakers but can easily use them on any shopify site. On the other hand Scotty/Acushnet seems to be a proprietary site that there really aren't any commercial bots for. I'm sure a few people are running custom bots/scripts on Scotty but at this point the only real profitable things are the bags and those people aren't going to share them publicly or put a ton of time into them.

 

I simply think Scotty should go back to the old site but the update seemed to be a Titleist/Acushnet company wide update so I doubt they can do that. 

 

I'm just happy that I got the bag somehow today to continue my stand/cart bag success. Only one I missed out of the last 12 was the Baja Serape back in 2018. All Manual too.

Slow is one thing. I was fortunate to grab the bag, that process took about 9-10 mins.  Went back for polo...took easily 1/2 hr if not more.  I had a hard time choosing sizing, then took forever for the cart to load.   
 I would rather  it sell out in seconds instead of wasting peoples time trying to make the purchase.

Does it show up in your account as an order? If so, you should be fine. I had an order earlier this year never get a confirmation email. Eventually got the shipping email and it arrived fine. It always showed in their system tho.

exactly. I've said this multiple times. the items sell out...regardless. they really do not care about the CC members nor about their experience buying items. some will leave and others will take their place. circle of life I suppose.

It seems with all of the other headcover and accessory makers taking over the market, Scotty has kind of mailed it in design and effort wise, which is fair enough. He’s been in the market a long time and basically created it. 
However, his gallery putter releases on Wednesdays are really good.

I've been a CC member for a long time...this is the first time the website has ever janged me! Sure, there's been times it's been slow and buggy but I've always been able to check out...except today! Had everything I wanted in my cart, entered the CCV for my saved credit card, then just hung up on payment processing, browser finally timed out! :facepalm!

 

Put me in line for a hydroflask at retail!
