Off season swing changes. Trying to get steeper backswing

I've struggled with arms getting too deep , and behind my body in backswing. Causing a lot of blocks and hooks . Focus this winter is to keep arms in front of chest , more vertical, to make it easier to get back to ball without getting stuck .

Comments/suggestions indeed are welcome . I was just trying to get a feel for shallowing... I pull the handle like crazy ...

I think you could solve all of these problems with Monte's help. I've tried to fix that pulling the club in behind me by doing what you're doing - taking it waaay outside - but it doesn't work because you end up disconnected and out of sync. As Monte says, you need to address the first issue in the swing, and that looks like the first move.

I would just go to Monte's site and buy the No Turn Cast video series for 30 bucks. It'll get you in a position to hit the ball very quickly and show you what you need to do to shallow that shaft without getting stuck.
