I have a 75g x flex evenflow black that broke at the tip after being pulled from a driver so I cut it down to 39 inches. Would it be a bad idea to throw it in my 2 iron? Currently have just s300 in there which is the same as the rest of my irons.

Many possible issues.
- Shim from 0.335 tip to 0.355 taper hosel
- Shaft weight (most likely to the lower end even as 75G since grams pr inch is very low for woods)
- Net shaft butt left going that short.

What exactly does net shaft butt left mean?

A shaft has 3 sections.
Tip - Mid and butt
when we go shorter we go shorter at both tip and butt
Wood shafts vary a lot for how long the butt section is, so when you go as short at 39.00" most likely with a BBGM of 1.25, your grip will end into the mid section of the shaft.

Measure how long the butt section left is. if its a 0.600 shaft, the midsection/ taper starts where OD is 0.590.

How much of the tip was lost?    Graphite shafts generally have reinforced tip sections but that section is only so long.   After the breakage, if there is not enough left it could result in a weaker part of the shaft being at the top of the hosel where the stresses are the highest.

Don't do it.  The tip was not designed for the head weight of an iron.

It was all cut from the tip. It had broken off at the adapter and I cut off about another inch or so

That means you've lost a minimum 2.5" of the tip section - probably more.   If memory serves PX shafts typically have a 3" parallel tip section.   In general the total tipping plus the hosel insertion depth should not exceed the length of that reinforced parallel tip section.   So IMO, the shaft is toast.  I wouldn't risk using it.
