Talk about a quick turnaround! I received my putter over the weekend. I ordered the Nashville mFGP SS with all black shaft and the GP mid-size grip.

I am currently using the original FGP, that I love, so the switch will not be a huge deal for me. I've only rolled it on my putting matt. Below are some pictures to show the difference:

Gorgeous face. The bottom shape of the head is noticeably less rounded than the original. This is a good thing for me as it helps ground/set the putter much easier (like a mallet?). The original tends to slide/pivot if not careful.

Top (new at the top):

You can clearly see the change in the flange design. Again, I think it helps ground the club. Pic may show what looks like scratches. They are not. The putter came in perfectly new condition.

Initial impressions is that the added weight (especially the all black shaft) is something to get used to. Using my own imperfect scale, I only see a difference of about 20 ish grams between original and new. Overall, the putter looks great!  Can't wait to take it to the course.

Thanks again to Golfwrx and Seemore!

@howaboutmei am currently comparing these two, among others. Is there a noticeable increase in forgiveness with the newer mFGP compared to the original?

To be honest, I have not played enough to have a very good assessment of the new putter (just 1.5 rounds so far). I've continued to toy with it on my indoor putting mat though. I can say that it took me a good bit to get used to the difference in weight and I'm now finally feeling pretty good about it. I do believe the added weight provides me with more control. My swing is more measured whereas the older, lighter version was more loose and likely needed some extra tension to keep it under control. I continue to feel positive about it and did I mention how good it looks? I have a 9 hole round today (only 9's these days in the winter) and will see how it goes.

Sorry for the late bump.

Just received my putter a couple days ago, because the head I picked was very backordered. I’ll update with pictures after work (lol). I got the m7x head which feels substantially heavier than my KP2 that I’m currently gaming. After a bit of time on the putting green I can say that RST is no joke, putts were rolling very well. It seemed as if they had less skid than my gamer. Still not sure if this will replace the KP2, but that’s not a knock on the SeeMore. I’ll update once I’ve had more time to play around with it!

Any more feedback on M7X?

Did it replace your KP2?

Overall, I love the feel of the MX7, and it puts a really good roll on the ball. At least for the time being the KP2 is still in the bag, but that came down to more of a head weight thing than a performance thing. I typically like my putters a little lighter, and the lack of a forward press added to a heavier head led to a slight discomfort on shorter putts. Might change in the future, but we have our greens rolling right now so the lighter the putter the better.
