Anyone have experience on the difference in fit of the athletic slim vs regular slim fit? Or another brand these compare to? Want to take a chance on these but no exchanges is holding me back.

No experience, but I opted for the athletic slim. I'm definitely not a slim guy in the thighs. I also went up a size in the waist to make sure the thighs are big enough. 

 

Someone compared them to Lululemon pants but I don't have any of those to compare them to.

Received my pants today. Very nice quality. The fit is really good, I'm usually a 34/36 with large thighs. I got the athletic slim tech and athletic slim everyday. The material is fantastic for both types. Tried them on and they actually fit my thighs. Looked as soon as I liked the fit and there were still some in stock so I ordered 2 more pairs of the everyday pant.

Walter hagen slim fit pants. Thighs have more room and waist is slightly(maybe half inch) larger in the hill city. And not as slim in the lower calf. Definitely 36 length too, not a long 34. Tall guys know what I mean.

Well I went with a 32 waist and they fit smaller than Bonobos for example. Final sale...great.

These are great pants.  Bought 2 pairs, 34x36 Lightweight Everyday Slim Fit pants and wish I picked up a couple more.  Perfect slim fit for me.  I’m 6’4” 170 lbs

 

I wear 34x36 Levi’s 512 and fit is very similar.  The rise on the Hill City pants is a little higher than the Levi’s 512 and sits nearer to waist.
