Ping Eye 2 wedges are pretty forgiving and the original eye 2 is very good out of the sand. Best bet I feel is not having a bag full of wedges then you get used to playing the ones you have and how to hit shots with them. More often than not I just have the PW and a sw. Some times I switch that up for a pw, 54, 58. Currently not a fan of pw 52 56 60.

So true. I have very recently put the Eye 2 SW & LW back in the bag after 20?+ years of inactivity due to always chasing the latest and greatest in the wedge world. As stated they are outstanding from the sand and dependable in all other aspects.

Don't sleep on bounce. Learning how to hit shots around the green using the bounce makes any wedge more forgiving. Also, having different wedges with different bounce in the bag for different conditions is really important for me. Typically, 56 sand wedge with high bounce, 60 lob with low bounce. Rarely hit the 60 if it is very soggy or wet.

Just got my TM Sim Max 5-AW set in.  Haven't hit them yet.  Need a SW and maybe 60*.  Budget is tight.  I've heard some good things about the Kirkland Signature Wedges.  Really don't need a 52* but for $169.99 for three wedges vs. $99 for for a Cleveland I'm getting the Kirkland.  Don't know if that helps you but I've been using a Cobra 3100 i/h SW and a 20 yr old crappy copper faced 60* wedge that chews up balls for a living.  the Kirkland HAVE to be better than what I've been gaming soooo.   Budget minded and probably better quality than the price tag would suggest.

I don't know how other golf shops are, but my local shop has so many good, barely used wedges for great deals.  Used wedges just don't hold value, which is good for those of us that don't care about a few use marks.  If you only need 2 wedges, you could do better than $170 by looking for 2 gently used wedges that fit your loft and bounce needs.

I’m a newbie to golf having started during the pandemic and quickly found wedges are my favorite clubs. Ive become obsessed and now play at least one round a week so I’ve tested and bought a couple different models because of my addiction and I feel like the Ping Glide Stealth 2.0 are super forgiving. I play the black Ping glide stealths in SS grind and honestly feels like they are so easy to hit for chips pitches and full swing.

I also have bought and played with Vokey SM7, SM8, Taylor made MG2s, and Callaway Jaws MD5. Don’t get me wrong these were all nice but Ping Glide 2.0 (black stealth) had the best forgiveness combined with feel for me.

Am interesting choice and option are also the Costco Kirkland wedges (52,56,60). I’m a about a 16 handicap and my buddy is a 20+ handicap and he bought the Kirkland wedges. He uses them and says they’re awesome and he isn’t too bad with his wedge play despite both of us sucking at golf. I tried them at the range and they felt pretty forgiving too. Might want to look into those as well since they’re a cheaper option and offer forgiveness.

If I had places like that, I would definitely go that route as well.  In New York, The cost of used wedges are closer to 75%-80% of retail.  Not worth it.  If I lived in Fla, the used club capital of the world, I would go the used route.

A bit late on this but Def the CBX 2 and The Ping Glide 2s. If you're ok with something that's not a headliner I'd also look at the Wilson Staff Hi-Toes--- really really nice and top notch spin.

another necro bump, but I swear by the Edison Forged wedges if you're looking for a forgiving, high spinning wedge. I have a 55 and a 59, and they're great.

I have a 52/58 RTX3 CB set I'm looking to move.  I find them to be very forgiving, and the faces are large looking, just too large for my liking but they are forgiving for wedges.

I just purchased on of these from CPO and it looks like it will be a good fit for me, and make a high lofted sand wedge as well. Right now you can get one of these, any grind you want, for about $95. I have the W grind as reflected in the video.
