I hope all you guys and gals had (or are having) a great, safe holiday season no matter how different this year feels...

 

Anyway, like the title asks, what are this seasons hits and misses wrapped up under the tree?

 

Golf related, in addition to the usual 18 pack of Top Flights (Thanks Uncle Lewis) a business associate emailed me a $BIG gift card for Dicks/Golf Galaxy! Nice surprise!

 

Non golf.... I got a Drone! My buddy has one and dang it, it's time I step up in the toy department! It's slightly higher than toy quality, I already took a few test flights before wrapping, so cool!

 

It's early here on the snowy east coast, Grandkids should be moseying in soon, then the magics begins.

Yes Magic, I sit here at work off in 28 minutes and go home to sleep then come back and do it again tonight. No kids, no magic for me. Many times in the last few hours I have wondered how many children are waking up the most excited they have all year and rushed to a dark living room and turned the lights on to see the magic. What a time huh?

My family won’t buy me golf stuff, and I have tired of buying new equipment. I ordered balls, gloves and tees.

 

wife got me a snow blower, bought myself an AR pistol and a tactical scorpion 12 gauge. I also got a nice Stiga ping pong paddle, new group of friends play over the winter, loving it

I’m currently sitting in Jamaica.  A few years ago we stopped buying gifts for Christmas and just take a family vacation.  Best decision we’ve ever made and our kids (9 and 14) love it.

I get the same golf stuff every year, a couple gloves, a bag or two of tees and some golf balls. Much like @Warrick said my family doesn't ever buy me any new equipment because I won't even buy brand new equipment myself. 

 

My girlfriend did splurge on a new winter jacket for me though, for those who haven't tried Smartwool jackets I highly recommend them.

I got some cologne and some seasoning from my daughter. My wife and I decided we don’t need to get each other anything. We’re both of the mindset that as long as the bills are paid, if there’s something we want, we just buy it. So basically, we have everything we want, so why bother trying to guess at what else each other wants?

Unlike a lot of folks, the Mrs. and I have been blessed this year.

 

I got a new Leupold Laser, Ecco "Freddie's", and another set of Galvin Green rain pants.

 

On non-golf, a Filson vest I've lusted after for 5 years and a case feeder for one of my Dillon Precision reloaders.

 

But like 90+% of the world, I'm ready to see 2020 in the rear-view mirror.

I got a heated vest!

 

This thing is powered by a portable battery charging block.

 

It's really lightweight, and the heater lasts for 4-6 hours.

 

Can't wait to try it out during the winter skins extravaganza (if this freakishly early snow would disappear)

I have one of these, and it is great. I like using it on the ground for push ups too.

 

Unfortunately my motivation is an issue and it stays in the closet too much of the time.

New shoes - Puma Ignite Pwradapt Caged Crafted. I'm hoping that it will stop raining and warm up so I can take them out. I don't want their maiden round to be in mud.

Nothing golf related... Socks and underwear... and a bottle of Macallan 15 Double Cask.

I gave my wife a couple dozen balls (Cally supersoft) and some scratchers for her stocking, which one of them hit for $500.
