What shaft and how was the overall consistency?

Ventus Velocore Blue 6X - Untipped - @ 45 1/4"

I was missing high and right in the beginning. I was tight.

Once I got going, it was silly good!

... Hit the Max LS too ... EASY Pass ... Sits horribly at address ...

The Speed, though, has potential to be 2021's, SIM of 2020.

Speed =====> LEGIT!

Hey guys. Hit this on course today. Hit it a mile in the air. Currently playing with my red dot adapter and ordered a ‘tour strong’ on the way home. Do you guys know if ‘value golf’ is selling real components? Or what it would be like buying a replica off eBay? Same right?

Anyways for the on course performance. Sound and feel is awesome. I hit 3-4 absolute nukes. I really like the shape. It’s easy to turn over. Playing it in red dot -1. There were maybe 1 or 2 into a decent breeze that didn’t go quite as far as I’d like, but whatever. I’m not that good anyway.

Definitely a winner. Curious about these adapters if anyone knows. I’m hoping the replica adapters are the same. Red dot is kind of noticeably flat... but again what to I know and my eye isn’t that good lol. Seems weird that they would make an adapter 3/4 a degree flatter... seems like a small amount.

also lastly, really nice emerald speckled tint to the black paint near chevron sign when in sun. Looks nice. Sound and feel real big winner for this one. Distance great. Need to dial in a touch more.. or get a better swing.

Thanks , does speed remind you of either tsi3 or last year's mavrik standard head aesthetically?

The Speed is very similar to the standard Mavrik head.

If you want the -2 setting, you can also use a LH adapter and set that to +2. Comes out as -2 in a RH head.

No it doesnt. It just equals whats on the opposite side of the +2 cog.

No.  I've hit the speed and own the tsi3... It is more pear shaped, but not classic titleist like the tsi3.

It kinda looks like ts3 then? Can I get your thoughts so far on Epic Speed please?

No.  Ts3 is more pancaked.  Think of the mavrik, but slightly pear shaped.  It's clearly a callaway, but not as round.

I feel like the Mavrik standard is the epitome of driver head shapes from Callaway. The Epic line is always more elongated - and seems to be the case here again.

And thoughts,  appeal , performance comparing to ts3/tsi3?

The Epic belonged to my buddy, who's a pro.  I was hitting it with his shaft, which I had no business no business hitting.

I like the epic speed. It seems like a mavrik with a little needed tweaking.  Great look at address, better sound.  I actually like the green too.

I'll be honest, I'm a titleist guy.... I love callaway, but I have sentimental reasons for playing titleist.

The max is elongated like a Rogue, but the speed didn't look that way to me.

The address footprint on the Speed is noticeably smaller than either Max head, yes.

Correct!

NOTICEABLY.

First remark that came out of my mouth, "that's small, that's 460?"

Not complaining.

Takes alot to get me excited, Callaway did it with the new Speed Driver.

This is part of the reason I have not really been too in love with anything recent and still play the 2015/16 GBB.

I can’t wait to see this, did the blind order.
