Wildhorse Denton(Robson) questions

Wife and I are considering moving to Robson Ranch Denton to be near family.

Seeing as the course is somewhat upscale, I have to ask, what's the pace of play?  This would be important. 

Are any of the nines walkable and does anyone actually walk?

Are there strategy choices/ angles/elevations etc to make the course interesting?  Or is it basically point a to point b, here's the shot you have to play, hit it.  To put it another way, on a boring/interesting scale where 1 is the lamest muni you've played and 10 is a world class fun and interesting course, what number is this one?

 

Basically anything you can tell me, I'd really appreciate it.  The questions change when you are looking at a course being your regular course versus one that you play a couple of times a year.

You could easily walk it, but few do.  The pace of play is usually fine.  Lots of older folks playing every day and playing quickly.  Facilities are upscale, the course is always in great condition, but it doesn't have tons of personality.  I am usually 5 strokes better there than my home course.

I live and play there. It could be walked but it is ina residential community and there are occasionally long walks between holes. Most players are seniors and ride. Pace of play is usually excellent meaning under 4 hrs. for a foursome. As mentioned it is in great condition but lacks tons of personality. There are some challenging holes. The great think about living there is having And using your own cart with no trail fees.

Thanks!  The same basic review would apply to the Robson Ranch course in Eloy, AZ.   No real personality, but great condition.  Oh well, you can't have everything.

OP here.  We’ve moved here now.  It’s a roomy course.  Generous fairways and greens.  It is making my stats look good. 🤓  I’m enjoying it.
