Just tried to order a set of 0211 irons and I asked how long it would take to get set delivered. He said “never” then told me that they are not taking any more orders on these.....bummer.

  • SCOTT4099 changed the title to PXG 0211 sold out! So close to Christmas...

I really liked these irons. I like the turf interaction, found them exceptionally easy to align to the target and simple to flight up or down. I actually scored well with them even though I was not dialed in with yardages.  I don't have a PXG fitter in our neck of the woods and tried the Elevate 95 Stiff. They played a bit soft for me and distances were barely the same as my old school lofted forged CB's.

I debated reshafting myself, because I really like them, but opted to list them on the "Bay" this week and will see what comes out next year.

Would love to hear how the 0211 irons feel compared to the 0311T if you happen to know. Thanks!

I had and played the 0211’s for about 8 months, then switched to Gen3 0311t’s. What a bad move that was. I was not good enough to play the T’s. After a few rounds I quickly went back the the 0211’s and everything is right in the world again.

That being said, because I do not hit the small sweet spot on the 0311t’s, I think the 0211’s feel better. I am good enough to shoot consistently in the 70’s with the 0211’s. Golf is so much fun with the 0211’s.

Hooe you guys can get your hands on a set. PXG Express on the Bay is awesome to deal with.

I would go with the 0311 over the 0211 every time, forged vs cast. Feel is magnificent and just what I look for in an iron set. However, comparing 0311T to 0211 is not apples to apples, more like 0311P to 0211. Which by the way, you'll see a better overall performance with the 0311P over the 0211 when paired with identical shafts.

I had both and currently play the 0311.

There is zero feel difference. They have the same maraging face. A forged back/body does not add feel, even Brad S has admitted that. When people speak of "forged feel", in my experience, this only occurs when you pure a forged one piece blade.

100% agree. I only tried the T’s because I got a great deal on a used set. In my previous two fitting I compared the P’s to the 0211’s and they were identical in the numbers. That’s why I originally went 0211 when they first came out.

I still think they felt the same. 0211’s are the best cast iron out there.

Flushing a Gen3 0311T is the closest feeling to flushing a blade out there.  The 0211's are great though, they are for sure to be a cult classic for a very very long time unless PXG finds a way to improve them and keep them at a price point of around $100/iron.

Getting my Gen 2 0311 XF irons tomorrow. PXG ships fast. My game is not good enough for the P's, much less the T's. I just could not turn down $144 each with graphite shafts and mid size Lampkin grips. Always buy over the phone, better deals and free fitting too.

Played today and these are very soft irons. I really like the A wedge and wore it out around the greens. Because of temps, hard to judge the distance, but from what I can tell it is good. The ground was a muddy mess, as it really poured the day before, and all courses were closed yesterday from the rain. The temps were 37-43* F ! Hand warmers were everywhere, and I stuck them in my mitts, love the mitts. I cannot wait to take these out again, they beg to be played!!

  • 4 weeks later...

Wished they offered other graphite options other than MMT at no up charge. My OG 0211’s had the MMT. Would like to get a set with TGI’s in addition. MMT’s are great but want to try something different.
