Considering purchasing a Scotty Cameron Teryllium T22 Newport 2 putter. Found one at a good price. But wanted to check to see if you guys thought it was the real deal before I pull the trigger. Thanks.received_131952641981046.webp

@bdawg983 From first glance that cover looks quite fake. The other images won't show for me but as a first indicator I'd stay away.

To me , the headcover looks fake. The dot size and pattern are off. The insert doesn't look as proportional as an authentic. The toe on yours looks more rounded and the heel is also too rounded. I'd walk , this guy looks to be a copy.

Thanks guys. The seller gave me the number on the shaft band. Do you know if there is a way to call or email Scotty Cameron or Titleist to verify the authenticity?

That is an awful fake. You can tell by looking at the milling, dots, and bumpers. 

 

Milling is awful and deep. Authentic looks like this.

 

On the authentic Tel3 the dots are smaller leaving larger gaps between them and the bumpers are slightly rounded. Like this:

I'm sure someone could chime on on a shaft band , but I'm betting a hole in a doughnut , the band is as fake as the rest of this thing.

I've seen several knock offs of the T22.  A lot of people have been burned on ebay because the knock offs are surprisingly good.  Think I saw they could be had on a couple chinese sites for around $200 or lower with bulk buying.

You don't need to check the numbers on the shaft.  That putter is as fake as it gets.

I'm just thinking in regards to something like a fake Rolex.  A decent fake has some value.  I know I'd take a solid fake Rolex for a fair price, so I wouldn't judge.  Look great and work fine, without the worry of damaging or losing it.

I mean the guy could use the money.  He clearly has an expensive shirt collection to financially support...  Unless the shirts are also knockoffs, then he doesn't.  Either way, I feel bad for the guy.

I think his tat symbolizes living a wild and painfully difficult life.  Maybe he's planning on using the profit he makes towards finishing out the tattoo.
