I am in under threats of violence from my fiancee. Will keep the complete cobra bag with odyssey stroke lab (this is the biggest threat)

 

Only thing that would change this is if I decide to build a whole set from golfworks again.

Funny you mention that, I've been giving a LOT of consideration to putting together my own iron set from scratch.  Looking at the TS1.

The only thing set in my bag so far is irons, 3 wood, and putter. I still need to work on driver and final wedge setup. Plan to have it all ironed out by February, I hope. 

 

Thus far:

 

Driver - M6 w/ Evenflow White (might keep and might trade)

3 Wood - Cobra F7 Baffler Blue w/ HZRDS Smoke Yellow 70 6.5 Flex

Irons - 2-W - Ping Eye 2 Black Dot

Wedges - 55º Vokey SM7 and 60º Tommy Armour (along with the 50º SM7 but unnecessary as Eye 2 W is 50º).

Putter - Newport TEI 3 from 1997 and this will stay. 

Ball - Whatever. Tour BXS or new TP5 when released.

 

Lot of work to do and $$$ to spend, still.

Look, before I begin, I am asking for leniency. I’ve been working on this bag dating back to last season and I truly believe my final piece is arriving shortly. I have however played golf already this season, it was sub 40 degrees and an attempt to test out my shiny new irons because I simply could not contain myself. For that, I apologize. When the real season begins, I will not waiver (I don’t think).

 

Driver - Ping G400 Max - Hzrdus Yellow (Started last season with this in the bag, staying power? - Questionable, the G425 is looking purty)

 

3 Wood - TM M4 16.5 HL - Atmos Red

(Middle of last season purchase, staying power? - High, I rarely switch out woods)

(End of last season purchase, staying power? - Very high)

(Newest in the bag, staying power? - Not budging, unless disaster strikes)

Are we allowed to designate subs? Say I switch out between a driving iron and a hybrid based on the course or do I need to commit to one for the challenge?

For this challenge, it is 14 clubs.  The whole idea is to see who can honestly set it for an entire calendar year of golf activities.  

 

That's why it is such a hoot.  This is GolfWRX and there's a reason why we are all here.  We're just not "normal" when it comes to our golf equipment!

Well I am already out. I swapped driver shafts. All clubs are the same still. I guess for me consolation prize is keeping all clubs regardless of this driver shaft change.

When I read this initially my reaction was to give you an attaboy for keeping the change(s) small and reasonable.  

 

But then I realized that we aren't even out of January yet, so, uh, yeah, about that attaboy..........

Been playing a Cobra Fly-Z driver for over 4 years

Will this be the year another Driver knocks it out the bag?

It will most likely be the Putter once the Mizuno MCraft VI comes out

anyways, I’m out... new clubs are here but they are paid for... I haven’t swung a club this season.

Tell your friend it doesn’t count.  The “bag” that is set is the 14 clubs that your friend plays golf rounds with.  Your friend can purchase and practice with whatever his/her heart desires.

If you haven’t swung a club, you are still in!  The bag is only officially set for the calendar year after you have completed your first golf-like activity of the year.  But from that moment on, the bag you take to play rounds of golf with has to stay the same.

The putter...I picked up a used Odyssey stroke lab putter. I couldn't miss with it in the store. I swear I'm done now though...(sure I am)

And for what it is worth, I’ve been out since early Feb.  Not only did I change clubs in my bag, I switched sides of the stupid ball completely, lol!  More on that later.
