Hybrid Jacket

I am looking for a hybrid jacket. There are so many to choose from.  I am looking for a hybrid that has insulation on the front and back, not just the front.  There are a lot more to choose from with the insulation on the front only. I don't get this concept btw.  My back gets cold too. lol.   Anyway I'd appreciate any feedback from those that have a hybrid jacket.

Huge fan of this guy....on days it’s been at or just below 40 deg, I’ve worn just a golf shirt under this guy and been totally comfortable.

After reading this thread I just checked my jackets and all my insulated models has insulation front and back.  What's the purpose of only having insulation on the front?  You wouldn't want that structure in a rain jacket.

Callaway has a nice one. Currently on sale on their apparel website. I also got one from Costco this year, but it has a hood so some might not like it.

is worth checking out. My Adidas hybrid jacket is 2 generations prior to the current prior generation. It is insulated front and back, and, quite warm. My jacket is not windproof, but, I bought a Ping Norse 2 jacket, which, is windproof, but, not as warm - less insulation front and back.

Love this jacket. Have two , different colors. Pretty cheap right now. Actually $55 with the 2021 sale.

i have a proquuip one that i like a lot.  very easy to swing in and warm in the 40's.

Same one I have.  It's nice.

I have the original Norse in bright blue. It’s nice and warm but a little snug.  Just ordered the adidas frost guard.  You guys do it to me always.

I've got the Galvin Green Lanzo. It's warm! Wore it today for 18 holes with a sleeveless compression shirt, an Icebreaker 260 weight quarter zip and the Lanzo jacket. Temps in the mid 30s. I was warm and comfortable.

This jacket might be exactly what I am looking for.  I will look for it to go on sale soon during winter liquidation and have for next year. Thanks!

I have this seasons adidas frost guard jacket as well as a sunice hamilton jacket. The hamilton meets my needs down to around 40ish degrees and below that I wear the frost guard jacket.

 

Hamilton has a synthetic down and the adidas has duck down.

 

No joke, the adidas is one of the warmest jackets I have worn that still allows me to swing relatively free. Once I start walking and generate a little heat from walking, it really holds the heat in.

 

The hamilton has zero restriction in my swing and is extremely comfortable but not quite as warm as the adidas. Both do have room for some layering underneath.

thats great to hear about the adidas.  i just bought it from RockBottom for $68 (82 with tax and shipping).  i have the Ping Norse and its very warm, but a little tight on me.

I have the Adidas Frostguard from 2019 and it fits great, actually a bit loose in the midsection. Loved this jacket and definitely keeps you warm. I jumped in to grab the 2020 version in a different color from Rock Bottom Golf on the deal a few weeks ago. This version fits very snug in the midsection. Both are size medium. Anyone else have this issue?

The size charts for adidas have changed. I use to be at the top of end of size small, now, I am at the bottom end of size medium. ymmv

I have both now as I got the Frostguard last night.  I haven’t really played in the FG yet.  I used it when I took the dog out last night and I was certainly cold. However it was 28°.  I will say this, the sleeves seem to be the differentiator as of right now. The Norse feels warmer but bulkier. The FG seems to be easier to swing in but the Norse feels warmer to me in the very limited comparison.  
 

I have done no walking or playing in the frost guard yet so that could certainly make a difference when the body warms up some.
