Shoes Sizes? Footjoy/Adidas/Nike

Buying new shoes 

I know my size in:

Adidas is US11.5 or UK11

Footjoy is US11 or UK10

What size should I order in Nike?

US 11.5 or 12- but it all depends on the shoe.

Im an 11.5 in almost all nike golf shoes, occasionally an 11.  11 in adidas tour 360.  11 in most foot joy are too big for me

I wear the exact same sizes in those brands and always get a 12 in Nike, but it really depends on the shoe. I have a pair of the Nike Flyknits that I got from Burlington that are 11.5 and fit me fine because they aren't as structured as a traditional shoe.

I should have added the shoes they were:

looking at the Nike react vapor 2 just trying to work out what size to order as won’t be able to get anywhere to try first

I wear shoes the same as you described.  I wear size 12 in Nike golf shoes.  I wear a wide footjoy 11 pro sl.

Good luck, I find shoe fitting to be the one of my biggest problems. (I am retired, problems are all relative.)

For me: Nike - perfect 10, Adidas - 9.5, Footjoy - 9.5 (wide if possible), Puma - 9.5.

Ha I’m the opposite of some others. 12 Nike, 12 Footjoy, 11.5 Puma, owned one pair of adidas 12s that didn’t agree with my fit and never went back.

I really want to like Ecco, but every pair I try in has an arch that doesn’t feel right to me.

I quit buying shoes without trying them on.   Too many times I thought I was getting a bargain by buying online, only to be burned by getting shoes that don't fit.  

 

Here's just one example.  I have been wearing New Balance athletic shoes in size 10.5 for 30 years.   The NB golf shoes, size 10.5, were at least a size too small.   

 

Try the shoes on before you buy, even if you simply go to a sporting goods store to check out how different sizes from different brands fit.

I felt the same about Ecco shoes until I got some. Either that arch flattens out, or I got used to them, but now I really like them.

While it does seem to vary between the shoe types, I have the Nike shoes you mentioned in 9.5 and most Adidas I have are 9.5 as well.  Footjoy varies too much, but generally 9 or 9.5.

11 Medium in Adidas for me.  With FJ I have to go down to a 10.5 M in most cases.  With Nike, I have to go up to 11.5, and sometimes in Wide.  It's shoe dependent with them, and not just in golf shoes.  I have the same issues with their running and training shoes with sizing.  That's why I tend to stick to Adidas golf shoes.  I know I can buy and 11, and the fit is usually very consistent.

It does depend on the shoe. I have all in 11.5 Wide ProSL, Roshe G Tour, Tour 360 and PwrAdapt. The ProSL are almost loose but it's kinda like that in the cut of the shoe, The Nike's are snug but a comfortable snug, the Adidas are similar to the Nike but I get some rubbing but again cut of the shoe and the Puma's are that happy middle of snug but not constricting.

 

I'm looking at moving to FootJoy Tour X shoes this year.

for me it seems golf shoes are the same as my sneakers (as an englishman i feel so american calling it that)

Dont mean to hijack, but I am looking at getting some Codechaos... I am a 10 in FJ Pro SL (although the 10W are a little more comfortable), what size are you guys wearing in the Codechaos?

Nike's lately have not been consistent so it depends which Nike's you're getting.  Typically Adidas and FJ run 1/2 size larger than Nike.  So for me Nike 10 = Adidas/FJ 9.5.  But lately Nike's have been narrow so I would have to buy half size up.
