My club got their SIM2 demos early. The new Rescue looks pretty good with adjustable hosel. Black head.

Not sure about the Max, but on Taylormade’s website they said the new SIM2 Ti fairway was going to be 170cc instead of the 180 from last year.

I don't know yet. My club pro told me he is having a meeting with his TM rep on Feb 9th and should have more info. I'm hoping for SIM2 3HL that isn't a Max. That SIM2 Recsue 19.5 is only demo that I see.

 

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable can chime in. I think I did see TaylorMade Golf said a certain sleep days left before lifting embargo info.

Yep, it does look good. I did not care for SIM Rescue Max. I like that black color.

Hey guys was able to hit bother the new sim and max 3 wood today. The sum max is still large and looks closed. The std sim 2 looks great. Sits square and opens nicely if you deloft it. It didn’t have the right shaft but definitely a real possibility. Also hit new ping max which felt good but thinking to spinny and the ls fairway but too low spin. Can’t wait to put through the paces in the spring.

Interested in this comment, but confused with it as well - are you saying the Sim Max fairway sits closed? 

and is your view that the Ping max fairway is too low spin or high spin?

Sure.  The max definitely sits closed. Very similar to this years sim line. The ping ls fairway was too low spin for me. I definitely would want to look at numbers on the max fairway but not a fan of counterbalanced shafts. The head felt very forgiving in it and it set up square.

It does seem to be a bit of a trend that bonded Taylormade fairways are more upright and closed on average. You're pretty much forced to risk bending them to neutralize and either go tour issue and put down every piece off the rack if you want an open face angle.

remember TM is making these clubs for the masses. Mostly faders and slicers of the golf ball.

Of course, it makes sense as to why, it just seems like TM does it more than others. As an example, i've never seen a Titleist or PING fairway sit as upright or closed as many stock TM fairways.

ok I hear ya. but how many true tour issue clubs do Ping and Titleist make for their staffers?  Virtually none, because TM has to make stuff for their staffers because they are a average golfer manufacture.

Titleist TSi : 58.5

TM SIM MAX : 59

G425: Lie angle is an average of the five adjustable loft positions indicated on the hosel.  56.5

Saw on Chris Trotts Instagram pictures of sim 2HL fairway at 17 degrees, I hope that isn’t just a tour issued club. I will be all over that

They do.  Profile looks a bit smaller than the SIM but both are super hot off the face.

I’m wondering how hot the face is on the SIM2 Ti 5 wood...I’ve decided I’m going 4 wood instead of 3 wood this year as my Epic Flash SZ 3 Wood is just too long

 

I was hoping that the 3HL was gonna be available in the SIM2 Ti but as it’s not I’m thinking of a 5 wood in the SIM2 Ti but maybe lofted down to 17’

 

Alternatively its either a TSi3 or an Epic Speed @ 16.5 (the head shape on these looks very very nice)
