2021 PXG 0211 driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons (in-hand)

Recommended Posts

  • BAlberstadt changed the title to 2021 PXG 0211 driver, fairway woods, hybrids, irons (in-hand)

Just thrilled to see someone come in at less than $550 for a driver!  Hopefully this will drive the prices back down.

Not interested in the irons, but I’m wondering if the driver and hybrid are worth upgrading over the Gen 2 versions.

According to my fitter, the next Gen fairways and hybrids (that are the equivalent to the Proto and Proto + drivers) “are right around the corner”. I have the Proto + driver and it is a definite upgrade over Gen2 drivers. I expect the fairways and hybrids would  follow suit.

Do we have any idea if this is basically the "Gen 4" line or if they plan on doing a low price and high price range kinda like when they did the original 0211 line?

According to my fitter, these are not the “Gen4” irons or Gen4 Driver/Fairways/Metals. The metals are “right around the corner”.

He said the the new release 0211 irons are much improved over the originals.

PXG Proto +, 10.5 turned to 9; Ventus
PXG Gen4 3 metal ; Tensei Blue
PXG Gen4  5 metal;  Tensei Blue

PXG Gen4 Ps; 5-Gap with Nippon 950gh S

I will be interested in trying the Driver and comparing it to my Proto X+
Although the irons are not for me, I think they will put some major hurt to the Ping G irons and I'm sure they are super long and feel amazing.
I love what PXG is doing and I support them 100%.

Now they need to come out with wedges like the Mizuno ES/Ping Glide 3.0 line for us mid cappers.

The Driver is actually impressively priced at only $295 as of right now. Soooo tempting.

Don't forget to chuck on another $50 for taxes and shipping. Pxg has the highest shipping prices I've ever seen. $30 is the cheapest shipping option for a wood. If you order a driver and fairway the shipping doubles to $60.

I’ve always considered that as well. As much as I appreciate well branded packaging, I’m sure that adds to the cost.

With the volume of shipments that they do, you can bet they get a huge discount with shipping companies. The box is big, yes, but it's just extra profit for them.

The 0811 Proto line are the real steal! $375... Absolute bomber, accurate, easy to launch. Blew my SIM Max away and wasn't close

but yea the pricing is a huge hit. I didnt even think twice ordering the 0211 3wood yesterday at $245. $150 cheaper than my SIM Ti

Is anyone else seeing the 'ping' influence in this new line? The overall design really reminds me of ping recently. I know PXG got some of their club designers...

Then don't buy their clubs if you have such a big problem with it. SMH!

Take it down a notch there chief. I don't have a problem with it and I don't plan on buying it. I already have the Proto driver. I was just pointing out that the cost of the driver is around $350 and not $295.  Tax is going to be tax regardless of the company but there's not a golf company out there that charges $30-$60 for shipping.

It's like buying a car for $29,999 but acting like your aren't also paying tax, tag, title fee etc which adds on more cost. Everyone know most of those fees are add on profit for the dealer just like this "shipping" price is for PXG.

If you purchased an item for $1 on eBay but paid $30 shipping, would you still tell the world it only costs you $1 for the product?
