Works well for me with the Arccos sensors.  I first used it as the "shot sensor" until the Link arrived.  Only issue I have is with wind, and that affects use with the phone, watch and Link

v1 Game paired with the watch is pretty solid --- even w/o the watch v1 Game is solid. I just started to use it and already like it better than Arccos and ShotScope as I don't need sensors on the end of my clubs.

I was using Hole 19 which seemed to work well, but recently changed for me.  The scoring part of the app stopped working on the free version and it said I needed to upgrade to premium to get it back.

Does anyone know if the app gets the GPS data from phone or watch? I have the LTE Watch with built in GPS, and just curious if yardages displayed is from the phone (which is in the cart most of the time) or from the watch. It would potentially affect yardages, although with bluetooth range of about 33 feet, it cant be off that much.

I just got an Apple Watch SE.

I tried it last week, I had two golf apps on my phone already, 18 Birdies and Mobitee.

The only one that automatically made it to the phone was 18 Birdies.

I used it (18 Birdies) for the first time last week.

Thoughts:

First, I was happy I could see the distance number without my glasses on, my reading vision sucks but I could see the big number.

The watch, 44mm with the factory silicone Apple band, was not as intrusive while playing as I thought it might be, although at one point I inadvertently activated the SOS mode.

My cartner for that round had a Garmin watch attached to his bag and whenever I compared numbers they were close if not exact.

I didn't like that I had to manually change holes, it was a simple "press here" motion, but really shouldn't it be automatic?

I think the fact that it's a daily watch and not a GPS only device, ensures that it will always be charged. So many times I've played with GPS guys who forgot to charge their devices and they are bricked. After the round, I still had over 60% charge.

I'm a "laser guy" and just can't see myself using a GPS of any kind regularly. It will be nice to know that I'll probably have a GPS with me at all times because this watch does so much more than just play golf.

The watch is only about a week old and I've already bought an upgraded metal band, a screen cover and a charging stand.

I'll look forward to using maybe a better app when the golf season really starts.

The Tag Heuer Golf App is awesome.  You can use the dial to scroll the course and get exact distances to hazards.

I have a new Apple Watch 6 and Arccos inserts.  I have only played one short par 3 course, but it seemed to require a lot of fiddling with the watch during the round.  I’d rather have something that just shows me my distances rather than keeps score because I want to enjoy my round of golf, not spend every free minute inputting data into the app. Like checking to see if it registered my two putts or to see if it has advanced me to the next hole or deleting a stroke because it was a practice swing.

So, which app does that best?  I’m afraid some apps will think my practice wings are actual swings and will count them as a stroke.  OR, if I’m playing an informal round and decide to hit 3 practice chips onto the green, the app will be confused.  Just give me my accurate distances to front of green, middle of green, hazards etc.
