2009 TourStage X-Blade 701 CBs - looking for any feedback.  Looking for a  good set of older model forged TourStage irons to replace my Bridgestone J33 CBs.  Thanks.

I built a set of these a few years ago with Quadra 4AX SOF 100i graphite shafts. They are not my gamers but I take them out for a spin on occasion. They feel very soft at impact, similar to most forgings. Top line is razor thin. Forgiveness is average, distance is average. Sole is thin with some leading edge relief ( rounded). I actually didn’t play my set that much, so my experience is somewhat limited in nature, take it for what it’s worth!

I haven't gamed this specific model, but I have gamed the US-spec blade and the x-blade 705m. I expect that the 701 is somewhere in between the two regarding feel and forgiveness. I want to try the 709 combo set one day 🙂

Thanks, got a nice slightly used set 5-PW for under $250 and I am very happy with them so far.  Solid yet soft forged feel, thin topline, thin sole, minimal offset and fairly compact.  Compared them to my son's Mizuno MP 62 and they are almost identical at address.  Coming from Bridgestone J33 CBs and the X-Blades 701 seems a touch more forgiving in the longer irons.
