Alignment issues after using indoor LM for 3 months (PSA)

Hey Gang, So sorry but wanted to do a PSA, but was not sure where to post this. So if its gotta move its gotta move..

 

Point of post; (PSA)

 

I have been using my ES14 indoor for almost 3 months now.  My buddy, noticed my "setup/alignment"  was WAY off. I am pretty sure this is due to my indoor practice. Anyone else notice this?  If your indoor setup is aligned wrong, it will creep into your game, Be careful!

 

 

 

Ok discussion of why.

 

When I mean way off,  take a standard green 30y wide,  my ball is perfectly center of green, flag center of green.  When I set up,  my feet are pointing to the right side of the green,  nowhere near center.  Why?

 

 

Well.  First and foremost, my miss and my shot is left..and always left.  I wondered about this... I wondered why.  Now, I know why.

 

 

My net is  only 6x9.   Its a small setup for my indoor use (Sorry I will get an updated photo but this is my old setup, no where near what I have now, I have a larger blanket hanging from the ceiling a TV screen and a homemade hitting mat)  But the principle is the same.

 

 

What I notices is due to space restraints  If you look,  at where the ball/feet alignment, is setup and where the net is setup.  I am Training myself to hit left of actual target line, Because I dont want to miss inside the house and break something LOL.  So I am actually trying to hit the ball in the center of the net rather than straight down the line, .

 

 

 

If you look at the alignment vs the ball direction,  (the mat moved when I hit so dont pay too much attention to the mat.)  Just notice how bad the alignment is and these last 3 months grooving this.

 

 

Anyways,  in reality the ball should be striking the right side of the net, Rather than the middle. Or, I should move the setup.  Meaning move the net further right, or move the mat further left.  This has inadvertently cause me some pretty bad alignment issues at the course.  

 

More so, when my buddy tried to align me for my shots, it felt like I was aiming SO far left I was going to yank it off the course. It was a really really weird feeling.

 

 

 

Anyone else notice this or do you have your setup actually set "offset"?  its funny I watched a lot of youtube videos with people with small setups.... I noticed they have fallen into this same trap, I just dont know if it has affected their live play alignment. I assume it has if they hit and practice indoors enough.
