Rare Odyssey Prototype Putter: No Offers??

Got this from tour caddy. Body is titanium and brazed end pieces are tungsten. Putter is 34”, 350 gram head weight, face balanced, and has SNSR 104 Pistol grip. Nice soft feel. Head is similar to original Rossie in shape and feels like Ping JAS Piper which is my gamer....$325

Are there any markings that shows its Odyssey? Not to cast any doubt in the authenticity or anything, but just curious if its been verified in any way by Odyssey that its theirs.

There are not any markings anywhere....only have the word of the caddy

Could you not contact Odyssey to validate? It possibly has the markings of an Odyssey by the plastic ring ferrule that not many use, but interested as to why it's completely blank.  The fluted shaft , does it have any markings on the back , Odyssey's signature "Tour Crimping"?

Just talked to seller. He will not divulge the player.

He said it was an R&D prototype with no markings anywhere

Dont think its an "aftermarket" job. Those tungstens are impossible to mill and if the middle material really is titanium (never felt a titanium putter before), the face milling was done with the tungsten weights in place, which is another technical challenge thats not easily done with any milling machine. The lines and everything looks legit like a Rossie, but the alignment lines say otherwise. Interesting for sure.

I now play the Ping JAS Piper, which is also titanium body. The tungsten end pieces are smaller. If I remember correctly, it took 40 passes on the mill to meet flatness specs. I love the feeling of the titanium. It rivals the feel many of my handmade brass putters.

Price based on materials involved and comparison to Ping JAS Piper which has same materials.

Ok, just spoke to Callaway about the putter. They said they didn’t start marking Tour Issued clubs until about 10 years ago. So, this would not have been marked or stamped.

I sent pictures that they want to view for authenticity. Since it is fairly old, they are not sure anyone around now will be able to identify it.

How old is the caddie that isn't talking, surely someone is around with Odyssey that would know , no? Cool piece if all checks out , but without authenticity , not sure anyone will bite on your putter.
