Ping 2021 putters...

TGW has the names of pings new putters listed on their website under the “putters, ping, new” section.  No pictures as of yet but it’s probably just a matter of days.  Looks like one of the new models is called Hardwood, and a couple reboots of some older models.

I liked the Heppler line initially, but in the end, they did nothing for me. I'm pretty set with my B60, but would like to see a good Ping putter line.

Just checked and you're right. They had 63 putters under Ping. Now it's 51. Wish they had pics but all they had were putter names. Not even the name of the new model.

Looks like a new insert line to replace Sigma 2, GD hot list has pics of the Anser model.

I'm not much of an insert guy but the tech sounds interesting, hopefully the line has a zing or zb model for us strong arc blade lovers!

Unless Ping can make an Anser with no line in the cavity I am out!  I want either zero alignment or a line on the top rail, it's my number one thing I look for when shopping putters.

The wrx dept should be able to help you with that. I’ve had several putters made with different sight lines, head weights, and top lines.

I’m the exact same! Just give me an anser 2 like this and i’ll be good forever!

I like the extra weighting (if that is what it is) at the heel and toe on that new Anser 2.  To me, that's a good looking face.

 

I dislike that, once again, the head overall is too busy and looks like it is made of plastic.

The tungsten on the heel and toe of the face reminds me of the Cleveland Frontline putters.

I was tempted to hold out for the new Ping putters because I really liked the Vault 2.0 lineup, but missed my chance to buy one. As much as I love black and red, I won't be returning my WH-OG 2-Ball for one of these. I just won't do black finishes, since they wear so quickly.

 

To Ping's credit though, they made the tungsten face-weighting much more attractive than Cleveland did, and they look much better than the Sigma 2 line.

Like the sigma 2, I sense this will be another tanker for Ping. Come on Ping! Everything else you make is cutting edge, aesthetically pleasing, and engineered to the max. Why do your putters look like Walmart clones of Cleveland’s $80 putters. Putters should be your flagship, yet they continually look like afterthoughts. Either rely on your heritage and pump out high-end remakes of your classics, ala Cameron, or go for innovation, and hire a design consultant so you can actually compete with TM and Odyssey.
