what's up guys -- been awhile for me. (life issues)

i was lucky enough to test one of these beasts - and all i have to say is it's a low spin, incredibly stable/boardy telephone pole. (played the 70TX)

in a sim2 or radspeed head it wouldn't be able to spin enough to keep it in the air and explains a lot of the people in here hitting it straight --- b/c whatever spin you get is all backspin.

Range session with 50tx in epic max ls 9*. N-1 46” setting very interesting can feel lots of shaft load but in a good way still very stable Great launch for me and seems like much less work than ventus black 6x wind was right to left and slightly into not spinning up on good strikes and easier to turn over  can’t wait to get out onto course with real golf balls today.

So my takeaway after a single round on course is the 50tx feels great it’s stupid easy to load and launch but at 46 it is too long I found myself coming down the grip naturally and strike improved significantly there were a few I gripped and ripped on holes with bigger landing areas but strike is not as solid glad I got it built long and untipped as I think tipping might be the way forward to lose some length and firm it up a little.

I’ve got a 60TX on the way.  Want to test it vs my Ventus Black 6X and my AutoFlex SF505XX.  They sold out of the 50TX as I wanted to purchase both to see which would work the best.

I have gamed all three of these shafts , the easiest one to load is the 505XX, that shaft is really nice for hitting bombs, accuracy was lacking in that shaft as compared to the 1K which was super accurate, i didn't find the 60TX to be boardy at all, it was very penetrating and super super accurate and consistent.  The VB just didn't work for me, it was just too linear and boardy a feel for me, i could tell i was seriously under powering the shaft.  On the other hand the Ventus Blue 6X was a smooth long stable shaft.  i would put the VB right in between the Autoflex and the 1K.

Nice reviews of all three. So which shaft makes the final cut and in the bag?

Hahaha, thats a good question, im stuck right now between the 1K and the 505XX, trying to decide if i want more yards or more accuracy......i definitely score better with the 1K but i also enjoy hitting hitting high bombs.....At the moment these 2 are at the top and followed by Tensei Pro White and VB Blue.  Of course im gonna have to decide on a driver head before i finalize a shaft.

I'm going to be trying the 50X at 45.5" in the TSi3. I'm around 108ish clubhead speed in my current 45" driver with an AD IZ 6S. It seems to be the 50X might be the way to go in that case.

Let us know how the 50X works out!

Did you test this combo yet, if so, how was it?  I'm currently in a TSi3 with GD XC 6S and am also very interested in testing the 1K 50X at the same length; 45.5".  Very interested in hearing your feedback.

I don't have it just yet. I'm in Toronto...and we're in another lockdown. So testing is tough at the moment...and waiting for it to be built up.

for me coming from ventus black 6x to the 50tx 1k with the max ls head the 1k is easier to load to much launch seems a bit to soft and spinny shaft needs tipping to shorten to 45 and max ls head needs to be heavier max ls was warranty replacement from cally for epic flash sz hot melted to 200 grams 45" ventus black 6x the ls is 194 and its definitely not got the pop of the flash at that weight i can't seem to get the weights here in uk so will need it hot melting at some point.

The 1k didn’t stack up against the black velocore for me, just to soft feeling.  I personally like the velocore black but not in love do to the 60 being 65g and the 70 being 78g I need a 71-74 range shaft .  So my search goes on.  So Mitsubishi keep pushing them out I’ll keep trying them

Just carry 2 drivers with the 2 shafts like Phil did at the Masters.  One for tight fairways and one to able to bomb it.

Just some additional info on what I am comparing to: I am currently messing between a ventus black 6s tipped 1/2 inch, ventus blue 6x and ventus black 6x.  The ventus 6s is a bit soft and I am pushing it and more aggressive swings losing it to the left (lefty).  I have to really concentrate to have a smooth swing & tempo to get it to launch perfectly straight.  I probably needed to tip it a half inch more but it is already at my playing length.  The black 6x is very straight but a bit stiff.  Sometimes I feel I struggle to load it consistently and it gets my tempo off cause I want to swing harder.  The ventus blue isn't as straight for me but I probably get a bit more distance and easier to load.  I am interested to see how the 50x stacks up.

ventus black 6x to tensei white 1k 50tx both now at 45" and the tensei white 50tx come in with adaptor 5 grams less than ventus at same length and the 1k will be in the bag for the foreseeable future i tried the 1k @46 and it felt too soft and loose (i disliked it) i was going to tip it an inch but decided on butt trimming to 45 and its come alive added 5 grams lead tape to epic max ls to get head to 199 grams and all is well great combo similar to black in dispersion but a lot easier to swing and load but still with that solid feeling strike feedback is much better with 1k i know exactly where i have hit it it just feels great now ventus is still a great shaft for me its the GOAT in driver and i will keep it for the time being just in case i just think the 1k allows me to take some off at times without being punished the ventus black does not like me trying to smooth one out there on a tighter hole it demands my full swing all the time for it to work and with all the lockdowns and inactivity plus my ageing body the 1k seems to be giving me the best of both worlds with what seems like a little less effort.

60x has less torque than 50tx and only around 4 grams heavier I would guess if one works so will the other I’m around 110-117 depending on how the body feels with very fast transition have played 70tx tensei white and hulk 70tx and again they were great as long as I was fully committed to going hard ventus black 6x is still the best shaft I have used in driver but white  1k just seems easier and still stable I’m probably on the slower end after very little golf for 5 months due to weather and lockdowns so will keep the ventus as a backup just in case.

Just got a great deal on a 1k 60tx, tipped 1", with a Titleist adapter.

Most of the year I've been testing a TSI3 and Radspeed with Ventus Black 6x, untipped. Radspeed won out mostly based on the spin and launch being lower. Mishits were also a bit lower spin and kept decent distance.

Not sure if the 1k will reduce the spin in the TSI3 enough to make it my gamer but I'll certainly test and see what happens!
