the golf channel

i love the hawaii swing, lived there for many years and brings back lots of fond memories.  i have been outa town for a while snowboarding and decided to turn on the golf channel for a bit of information and watch the tour😐.  seems like they have changed their announcers and some of their programming. imho, not for the better.

I don't usually care much about the broadcast/announcers one way or the other (I don't get fired up complaining about CBS for example), but I did think Justin Leonard as the lead analyst was noticeably rough last week. 

 

Hopefully he improves the more he does it, but I'm not sure he has the personality/broadcasting chops to serve as a lead analyst at this point.

I know it’s fun to pick on new faces after a change like Golf Channel made, but i honestly couldn’t tell you who Leonard replaced. Who would have been in that seat last year?  I think the telecast is mostly fine, which is what live pga tour events always have been on the golf channel; not good, not bad, just......fine.

You want to feel bad for someone, how about Terry Gannon.  Dude is on Maui last week, then yesterday, after I stopped a recording, the channel was on NBC.  Figure skating.  And whose voice do I hear?  What punishment is he serving?
